Wac Arts is seeking a new trustee to be part of its board of directors, helping realise the organisation’s mission to nurture children and young people’s creativity through the arts.
Job Requirements
- Good knowledge of EDI principles; AND/OR in-depth experience of working in Youth Arts
- Commitment to the organisation, its vision and values Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity
- The ability to devote the necessary time and effort o support the organisation effectively
- Strategic perspective, with good independent judgment and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively
- An alignment with the charity’s values of creativity, courage, openness and nurturing the local community, especially children and young people’s creative needs.
- The ability to advocate for Wac Arts and its work Able to adhere to the Nolan Committee’s Seven Principles of Public Life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership
- Lived experience of the people and local communities the organisation serves or should serve more
