This position is primarily based in Wythenshawe

MYL is recruiting a Basic Skills Tutor to join our successful Wythenshawe team, to implement a functional skills programme with young people aged 16 - 25 who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Our Learning Hubs provide opportunities to gain accredited qualifications in Maths and English up to level 2, develop skills needed in adult life and employment, with a high level of pastoral support and varied enrichment activities. The Tutor will work alongside a qualified Teacher and Youth Engagement Workers to motivate and inspire learners to achieve qualifications, and prepare and deliver high quality flexible education that meets their needs and goals.

This is a full-time role. Successful candidates can choose whether to have a term time only contract (+ 5 training days) with a pro-rata salary, OR a year-round contract with annual leave entitlement and a requirement to support holiday playschemes.
