Philanthropy Manager (Mat cover)

Salary: £43,500 - £48,000
Contract: 1 Year Maternity Cover
Location: London Hybrid – 2 days per week in office
Deadline: 5^th March 2025

I’m thrilled to be working on this very exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Manager to join the team at the BBC’s international charity, BBC Media Action; an incredible organisation that is working with partners around the world to provide impartial, impactful, and trustworthy media to those in need.  

As Philanthropy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the sustainability of BBC Media Action’s impactful work by identifying, cultivating and securing mid-level and major gifts from existing and prospective donors. You will work across the fundraising and leadership team, as well as with Trustee’s and the wider BBC to develop a strong pipeline of national and international prospects and progress opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser with a track record in major gifts to step up and make a real difference in the global development sector.

To be a successful Philanthropy Manager, you will need:

• A track record of successfully stewarding major donors, ideally securing gifts in the range of £25,000+
• Ability to develop strong donor relationships and work effectively with senior leadership
• Familiarity with digital and social media platforms in fundraising contexts
