People with lived experience of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) should have a real and meaningful voice in shaping the services and support available to them. We are looking for an experienced Involvement Manager to join our People, Culture and Inclusion Team. As an Involvement Manager, you will lead our efforts to ensure that those affected by MND influence decisions at every level of our organisation. By creating inclusive spaces and opportunities for involvement, you will help ensure their insights drive real change.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Involvement Manager, you will provide strategic guidance, advice and leadership to embed involvement across the Association, working closely with people living with and affected by MND, staff, volunteers, and senior leaders.
- Develop and lead the Involvement Strategy, ensuring its integration across the organisation.
- Support and advise the Executive Leadership Team on best practices in involvement.
- Establish and lead involvement structures, enabling people with lived experience of MND to influence our work at all levels.
- Plan and deliver involvement activities that support key organisational initiatives.
- Provide guidance to staff on involving people with lived experience in their work.
- Work with the Learning and Development Team to train colleagues on involvement practices.
- Recruit and support people affected by MND to engage in forums, networks, and co-production groups.
- Ensure involvement activities are inclusive and accessible, identifying and addressing barriers to participation.
- Evaluate and communicate the impact of involvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to share the outcomes of involvement activities.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Involvement Manager who is an engagement professional with a track record of leading involvement strategies and building strong relationships.
- Significant experience in engagement, involvement, or co-production, ideally in the charity or public sector.
- Expertise in advising on strategic and operational involvement.
- Strong experience in using digital and offline platforms to engage people.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Experience in engaging minoritised communities and seldom-heard voices.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure within agreed timeframes.
- Confident using digital tools and platforms.

- Extensive experience of delivering and leading strategic engagement, public and patient involvement, and/or co-production preferably within the public sector or charity sector.
- Extensive experience of providing advice on both strategic and operational engagement, involvement, and/or co-production.
- Experience of navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, and establishing effective working relationships with key individuals in the public and different organisations.
