Job description
Purpose of the role
To help provide an effective and efficient advice service to members of the public, supporting clients across various platforms, and influencing government and organizations to improve services.
Duties include:
- Assisting clients at reception.
- Speaking to clients on the helpline.
- Supporting clients in person at outreach locations across Barnet.
- Undertaking administrative tasks supporting the advice team.
About You
No previous experience in an advice role is required; this position would suit individuals who are passionate about helping others and have the following qualities:
- Open, approachable, and non-judgmental
- Effective communication skills, both in writing and face-to-face
- A good level of literacy and numeracy skills
- A strong level of IT literacy
- A commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service
- Ability to commit to a regular volunteering schedule (minimum of 2 days per week)
