LONDON BASED VOLUNTEER ROLE

A brand new start-up youth charity thats currently being created to develop young people. At REMIX, we are passionate about making a transformative, positive impact on the lives of young people in London and beyond. Our mission is to empower, inspire, and uplift the next generation by providing them with the tools and skills to become responsible, resilient, motivated, entrepreneurial, critical thinkers, and self-reliant individuals.

WE NEED YOU!
We are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated volunteers who have experience in creating and facilitating workshops, especially to young people within our core service areas (Employability, Life Skills, Personal Development, Mentoring and Healthy Living) to help us change young people's lives.
Workshop Faciliator Duties:
- Workshop Preparation: Develop and prepare materials, activities, and presentations for one or more workshops.
- Participant Engagement: Create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze feedback from participants to improve future workshops
- Collaboration: Work closely with other volunteers and staff to coordinate and deliver programmes effectively
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of workshop attendance, participant progress, and outcomes.
Our Core Service Areas:
Employability
- Career Guidance Workshops: Conduct sessions on resume writing, job searching, interview skills, and workplace etiquette.
- Job Placement Support: Assist participants with job applications, setting up profiles on job portals, and preparing for job interviews.
- Networking Events: Organise events where participants can connect with potential employers and industry professionals.
Life Skills
- Financial Literacy: Teach basics of budgeting, saving, investing, and managing personal finances
- Communication Skills: Facilitate workshops on effective communication, conflict resolution, and public speaking.
- Time Management: Provide tools and strategies for effective time management and prioritisation.
Personal Development
- Goal Setting: Help participants set and achieve personal and professional goals.
- Self-Confidence Building: Lead activities that build self-esteem, confidence, and self-awareness.
- Personal Growth Workshops: Cover topics like emotional intelligence, resilience, and motivation.
Healthy Living
- Nutrition Education: Educate participants on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and nutrition.
- Fitness Activities: Lead fitness sessions such as yoga, aerobics, or group sports.
- Mental Health Awareness: Conduct workshops on stress management, mindfulness, and maintaining mental well-being.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant Experience: Experience in one or more of the focus areas (employability, life skills, personal development, healthy living) is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to plan, organise, and manage workshops efficiently.
- Empathy and Patience: Ability to relate to young people and understand their challenges.
- Passion for Helping Others: Genuine interest in making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
