2027 World Scout Conference Delivery Team Leader

About the role

As a key volunteer, you’ll play an important role in delivering the 44th World Scout Conference, taking place in London in 2027. You’ll take the lead on a specific area of work, building and guiding a team to bring it to life. Working closely with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), you’ll ensure the Conference meets global expectations. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to hosting a once-in-a-generation event, showcasing the very best of UK Scouting to the world.

Key tasks for all Team Leaders

As part of the Delivery Team, you’ll collaborate to plan and deliver the 44th World Scout Conference in partnership with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Together, we will:

• Work collaboratively, fostering open communication and avoiding surprises.
• Deliver the project within budget or under it.
• Anticipate potential risks, from logistical challenges to health and safety concerns, and implement strategies to address them.
• Prioritize sustainability by reducing waste, promoting eco-friendly practices, and offsetting the event’s carbon footprint.
• Ensure the conference is inclusive, with diverse representation and accommodations for participants of all backgrounds and needs.
