Lead the Board of this forward-thinking MAT, enriching the lives of their students and transforming communities through educational excellence.

Time Commitment: Chair 5 board meetings annually, oversee 3 sub-committees termly, lead 1 strategy and governance event and ad-hoc meetings with CEO/CFO.

About the role.

The Chair of the Board of Trustees is a critical leadership role within The Denbigh Alliance. As Chair, you will work closely with our Trustees, the executive team, and stakeholders to shape the Trust’s strategic direction and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our students and communities.

This role provides strategic leadership, fosters collaboration and builds trust. You will oversee the effective functioning of the Board, ensuring that governance is robust, transparent, and aligned with the Trust’s strategic objectives. Your guidance will support us in navigating challenges, seizing opportunities, and ensuring that every decision we make benefits the children, families and staff we serve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • working with the Board in setting priorities,
  • assessing risks,
  • guiding the Trust toward sustainable growth and success.

As our new Chair, you will encourage and support a committed and collaborative Board and executive team, who jointly have a diverse range of skills and experience, ensuring that all voices are heard and that decisions are made effectively and with integrity.
