Governance & Administration Officer Maternity Cover
Job purpose
To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Board, Senior Leadership Team and Carers Advisory Panel, including organisation wide meetings and Board meetings. To provide support to ensure organisational compliance with legal and statutory duties and good governance.
Key responsibilities
To be the first point of contact for enquiries, managing incoming phone calls and
generic inboxes, ensuring that enquires are escalated efficiently and calls transferred
to appropriate DCC team members.
Co-ordinate the organisation wide calendar and provide administrative support for
internal meetings.
Provide administrative support for board meetings including the distribution of
papers and minute-taking.
Provide the Chair with administrative and secretarial support as required, including
support with the onboarding process for new Trustees.
Support the Director of Finance and Resources in ensuring compliance with
Companies House, Charity Commission and best practice in all areas of governance.
Support the Director of Finance and Resources to ensure that organisational policies
and procedures are up to date and in line with changes to the law and best practice.
Provide support to the Head of Policy and Campaigns, in particular with
administration relating to the Carers’ Advisory Panel and communication with panel
members.
Provide administrative support during recruitment and induction of staff or
volunteers.
To provide additional administrative support across the organisation, as required.
