Home-visiting Volunteer

We're seeking volunteers to help support families across Oxfordshire.

You could become part of our team of trained, supportive and compassionate volunteers who are at the core of the support we provide. Our volunteers share an unshakeable commitment to the welfare of the families they support and remind families that they matter.

Our home visiting volunteers are each matched with a family and commit to providing 2-3 hours of support once a week (between Mondays-Fridays and within the hours of 9am-5pm). The focus of this support is relationship-building within the whole family unit – playing with the children while you get to know their mum or dad. They might need help in getting out of the house, accessing support or just a friendly person to talk about their worries with.

Our next home-visiting volunteer training course begins on 21st March 2025. This is an eight week training course (split over 10 weeks to accommodate school holidays) which covers all aspects of volunteering with families. To join the course you must complete an Application Form and the deadline for applications is 24th February.
