Job description

The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) was established by the government in 2015. We are the national body for careers education in England, supporting schools and colleges to deliver modern, 21st-century careers education.

Location: UK Wide

Applications close at 9 a.m. Wednesday 26th February

Time Commitment: Four meetings per year, held in person.

The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) is focused on one mission—to ensure young people are ready for work and life and supported in finding their best next step.

To do this, we work with schools, colleges, employers, Mayoral and local authorities to improve careers education and secure better outcomes for young people. Our work is driven at scale nationally and delivered locally to connect with local skills needs. It includes training and supporting careers leaders in schools and colleges, bringing employers, educators and providers together through our national network of 44 Careers Hubs, and sharing practical digital tools and resources.

Through our work, 94% of secondary schools and colleges now benefit from Careers Hub support, and over recent years, we have started to extend support to primary schools. We aim for a careers education system that has a measurable impact on young people—now and in the future. We aim to include all young people in career education, removing barriers where we can and building leaders and institutions who can sustain the mission in the long term.
