Senior Support Worker (*women only)
About Us
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Worker to join Church Walk which is a women only project. Supporting 31 women with complex needs. Referrals come from Hackney housing and other providers in the Hackney Pathway. We work with women with complex trauma. We joint work with local mental health teams, Adult social services, Domestic abuse navigator and services attached safeguarding, MARAC.
The project provides a client-centred recovery-based approach tailored to the needs of the individual which is gender specific. Staff promote engagement with internal and external services with the purpose of enabling clients to positively progress in their recovery journey.
The role will involve holding a case load, as well as supporting and motivating colleagues by exemplifying good practice in client led key working, outcomes, incident handling, risk management and innovative practice To be successful in this role you should have a good understanding of the needs of homeless people and be able to work in an empathic and boundaries way with people who have experienced complex trauma.
About you
The successful candidate will be committed to using, and coaching others to use, psychologically informed and trauma-informed working to engage multiply excluded and highly vulnerable adults to identify and achieve their goals. You will have experience of developing strategic initiatives that have proven results in improving the outcomes of a team.
Your strong emotional intelligence and resilience will underpin an empathetic approach to client-facing work and to working with a staff team that deals with highly complex individuals and situations on a daily basis. You will be able to demonstrate that you have a solid foundation of exceptional personal organisation, problem solving abilities, and initiative, to manage the responsibilities of the role effectively.
