Learning and Development Officer
We’re looking for a Learning and Development Officer to support our excellent teams across South West England and Wales. This role can be based at any of the following Rehoming Centres: Bridgend, Cardiff, Evesham, Ilfracombe, Newbury, or Salisbury.
What does this role involve?
As Learning and Development Officer, you’ll:
- deliver and support elements of the regional training programme, using a blended learning model to deliver training across a variety of topics, from induction and personal development, to rehoming and health and safety,
- complete training needs analysis (TNA) for the region, and then work closely with subject matter experts to design and develop training courses, sessions, or bite-sized training,
- work closely with Head of Operations and Rehoming Centre Managers to monitor training uptake in the region, identify skills gaps and co-ordinate resources to meet training needs,
- evaluate training interventions effectively, continuously improving resources and course content to ensure training needs are met consistently.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be able to analyse training needs, produce effective training materials and deliver training confidently. Specifically, excellent IT skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite are essential. You’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to cultivate strong working relationships with customers across the organisation, as well as the ability to effectively organise, prioritise and drive initiatives forward.
