About HELPING CHILDREN:
HELPING CHILDREN is a nonprofit organization registered in Sri Lanka, dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children through education, healthcare, and community support initiatives. As part of our mission to expand and strengthen our operations, we seek a committed volunteer to serve as the Country Director for our activities in the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage a bank account for the organization in compliance with U.S. laws and nonprofit regulations.
- Identify and secure an office space in the USA to serve as a base for operations.
- Build relationships with local stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community organizations.
- Ensure all organizational activities align with HELPING CHILDREN's mission and comply with U.S. legal and tax requirements for nonprofits.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the organization’s leadership in Sri Lanka.
Qualifications:
- Resident or citizen of the USA with authorization to undertake such responsibilities.
- Previous experience in nonprofit management, operations, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A passion for children’s welfare and social causes.
Commitment:
This is a volunteer position. The expected time commitment is flexible but requires consistent dedication to achieve the outlined responsibilities.
