A great opportunity has risen for a Head of Technology position at Asthma + Lung UK which is now entering a new phase after a merger in 2020 and subsequently significant technological transformation. We now need to optimise our tech platforms and ensure the charity can work as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will build on the technology platforms and ensure they remain fit for purpose, support the charity in maximising their value to underpin business delivery and have one eye on the future to ensure we can make best use of new technology if appropriate.

You will be a technology leader, providing confidence and reassurance to the organisation, with the ability to horizon scan and plan effectively over multi-year timespans.  Your project and change management skills, will include the ability to deliver a range of change methodologies.  You will also demonstrate good judgement on critical decisions through a combination of risk assessment and impact evaluation.

Location:  Hybrid working between the Aldgate, London office and home

Salary:  £65,000 to £75,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent and full-time
