Job description

 Night Support Worker

Aldershot

£25,307

Full Time - 42hrs

Permanent

Shift Pattern of four nights on and four nights off 8pm to 8am

Our client provides accommodation and 24/7 support for up to 20 clients with complex and high-level support needs.

Their aim is to provide person-centred support to their clients, empowering them to gain the life skills they require to move on to more independent living. They also work with a range of agencies to maximise the support and opportunities for clients.

Although this can be a challenging role, it’s also very rewarding. This is an exciting role, where no two days will be the same, you will take part in various tasks, such as running client activities and life skills projects. If you love working with people and want to make a difference in the lives of those you support, then please apply.

They have an opportunity for a conscientious and accommodating individual to join their night team and provide support to their clients. You’ll be on-hand to offer a friendly face and listening ear for those coming into the service or if they’re calling for information. Safey for visitors and staff is paramount, so you’ll monitor the CCTV and carry out regular checks, highlighting any issues that need attention. With health and safety of the service and users being your primary focus, you will know the importance of abiding by policies that protect everyone, including yourself, and will feel comfortable providing basic first aid when necessary. They’re looking for someone who has a positive attitude and a calm demeanour who is able to handle and diffuse potentially difficult situations.

You don’t have to have years of experience in a similar role; you don’t need to know their world inside out. Whether you have support experience or are at the start of your career, you’ll be ready to embark on a rewarding role, with full support and guidance to learn new skills and work with vulnerable people. More than anything, you’ll have a passion for helping people, an assertive yet friendly manner and a commitment to changing the life of others for the better.
