Homeless Recovery Worker Assistant 

Wokingham 

£15,137 

Part Time 24.5 hours per week 

Four days on / Four days off rolling rota including weekends and bank holidays.  

Early shifts 08:00 - 15:30 

Late shifts 14:30 - 22:00 

 

Our client provides 24/7 support for up to seven young people aged 16-21 care leavers and looked after children.  

Their aim is to support to young people with their individual needs to enable them to gain life skills to move on to lower or independent supported living.

Supporting young people as they leave care and helping them to tackle new obstacles to embrace independence and encourage them to learn new skills from budgeting and shopping to cooking and housework, and everything in-between! Each day will be different, and you will show an ability to adapt to priorities, as you closely monitor several caseloads. Patient and robust, you’ll know how to listen to each person and be their voice when they need you. This is a career that puts care at its core, so you’ll have an empathic approach and a passion to help. You’ll be part of a supportive team with everything you need at your fingertips to really make a difference. You’ll be innovative in your approach but at the heart of what you do will be encouragement, perseverance and a readiness to help with complex issues. 

They’re not looking for specific experience in a similar role, although knowledge of the benefits system and tenancy legislation is essential. You’ll have a positive and flexible attitude with a passion for helping others and be able to remain calm in potentially difficult situations and able to find resolutions.
