About the role 

You'll lead and coordinate our local campaigning work across the North East of England. Your work will help the charity improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those who care for them. 

You'll listen to the needs of our local communities to inform your campaign work, and empower them to make change where they live. You’ll work with colleagues across Parkinson’s UK to deliver political campaigns and meaningful advocacy for our community.  Through your campaigns you will ensure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers are heard.

What you'll do 

• Recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers.

• Be a first point of contact for supporters and campaign volunteers who want to improve services in their local communities.

• Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaign volunteers on how best to challenge and influence decision makers.

• Build close working relationships with our field staff and our local networks. 

• Use our national campaign priorities to deliver related local campaign activity.

What you'll bring 

• Experience of campaigning and an understanding of the basic tools and techniques used in campaigning.

• Experience of working with volunteers and people with lived experience of a cause including how best to support them to achieve their campaigning goals.

• Experience in organising events.

• Ability to network and build supportive relationships with volunteers, MPs and health bodies.

• Experience of delivering training to volunteers and staff.

• Ability to work flexibly, sometimes evenings or weekends.

• Ability to manage and prioritise a diverse portfolio of work.

About the Team:
This role reports to the Leadership Development & Wellbeing Lead working as part of the Leadership & Employee Experience Team in the Global People Team. About the Role:
As our strong learning thinking partner and designer you will analyse global learning needs and design excellent initiatives to equip us with the skills needed to achieve our global strategy. 

In this role, you will design and develop our global management development programme and approach as well as support the design and development of new global learning initiatives. 
 
You’ll also: 

• Manage our global induction approach, creating and updating guidance and resources to support a consistent induction experience for all WaterAiders at a local level.
  • Manage the design, guidance and resources of our senior leadership induction to ensure a consistency of experience and expectation across the global whole.
•  Support the development and design of WaterAid’s performance management approach and principles ensuring guidance and learning resources are available and shared with the global people network.
• Provide oversight of our e-learning provision, working with the Learning Hub manager and WAUK Learning Manager to ensure content is aligned to our strategic priorities and meeting the needs of the global whole.
• Provide tailored leadership, management and learning development approaches and senior team development initiatives to address identified priorities as agreed with the relevant stakeholder/business partner. 
• Pro-actively maintain expert knowledge about latest trends in learning and management development and use this to support the creation of impactful programmes and approaches aligned to organisational priorities.

About You:

• Be a credible advisor able to build trusting relationships and be a thinking partner 
• Be an excellent designer with an ability to design creative and engaging learning solutions that deliver on the defined need and desired outcomes.
• Be skilled at identifying and analysing needs, developing relevant approaches and evaluating effectiveness.
• Have expert knowledge and experience of learning and management development approaches and practice.
• Have experience of partnering with third parties to design and deliver learning interventions.
• Have experience of working globally, with an appreciation of cultural differences and of the difference this makes to learning styles and ways of working
• Have strong coaching and mentoring skills with an approach that builds capacity rather than dependency.
• Have project management experience, managing learning projects from end to end.
• Be a team player, able to work in a collaborative way, with flexibility and resourcefulness.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Experience of learning management systems
• The ability to facilitate and/or coach in other languages, particularly French, Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage.
• HR or Learning and development qualifications, Coaching & Mentoring certification, psychometric assessments etc.

The Money Advice Supervisor will have a detailed understanding of the money advice system and funder requirements. You will be required to work across all advice channels including digital, face to face and telephone. You will also be expected to provide technical support to our Money Advice team.

The Money Advice Supervisor will undertake the following additional responsibilities:

• Ensure high quality advice by actively listening to/ shadowing advice sessions and file reviews.
• Develop team expertise in line with individual training plans and supervision
• Work towards, and maintain technical supervisor standards
• Support and actively contribute to the coordination of service delivery rotas.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, exhibit excellent listening and questioning skills and to present and conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner with all clients seeking support.

You will liaise with contacts across various agencies to find resolutions for escalated issues and you will understand the importance of security and data protection to ensure all data is protected in line with GDPR legislation. You will have a good standard of numeracy to complete budget plans to aid the advice process and be proficient in the use of computer packages with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. In this role, you will ensure that the public areas of the Headmaster’s and Chief Operating Officer’s houses are well kept at all times. This will involve vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and
general cleaning as well as laundry and ironing as required. You will assist the catering team with any functions in the house including serving and clearing of meals and liaise with other departments such as Estates and Domestic Operations as and when required.
This role is for 20 hours per week, 5 days a week for term time plus 7 weeks during the school holidays.

Board meetings and time commitment

The The Board ordinarily meets four times per year in March, May, August and November. An appropriate time commitment will be required over the course of the year for preparative work between meetings. Following a probationary period where Trustee-elects attend at least 2 board meetings, appointed Trustees serve a three-year term, with the option to renew for a further three years. Trusteeship is an unremunerated position, though reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.

The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for professionals working in this area. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the life course for all.

The Clinical Quality (CQ) programme and the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) at the FSRH develop a range of evidenced-based clinical guidance and standards documents and respond to evidence enquiries. The Faculty’s Clinical Quality portfolio includes the running of the Clinical Quality Board and its sub-committees: the Clinical Standards Committee, the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Committee and the Research Group.

Can you help us?
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join the team supporting the work of the Clinical Quality portfolio and its four committees. Specifically, the postholder will provide support to the running of the Clinical Quality Board, the Clinical Standards Committee, the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Committee and the SRH Research Group.

As part of the team the postholder will work closely with the Vice President and Director of Clinical Quality, the FSRH Clinical Quality Committee Chairs and members, as well as wider clinical experts and stakeholders. Key duties will include co-ordinating the work of the committees including liaising with the Chairs to plan the agendas, tracking and managing actions and taking notes. The postholder will also help facilitate the process of developing and publishing clinical standards.

The role:

Administrative and planning support
• Maintain filing systems, preparing and checking documents, ensuring that their presentation meets requirements.
• Maintaining databases, spreadsheets and other records systems, contribute to tracking of progress ensuring deadlines are met.
• Servicing meetings, including arranging teleconferencing facilities, travel, preparing agendas and papers, minute taking, liaising with attendees and ensuring timely distribution of papers across the four committees in the clinical quality portfolio.
• Supporting the dissemination of FSRH standards including developing lists of stakeholders to distribute each new standard.
• Providing efficient and effective administrative support to CQ including the Vice President and Director of Clinical Quality.
• Supporting the recruitment process for Guideline Development Group members.
