Recovery Worker

Location: Exeter, Devon

Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum (The salary advertised demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band)

As a leading home-grown charity in England, they engage almost 2,000 employees, 200 volunteers, and serve 90,000+ people through specialised services including substance use, criminal justice, mental health, clinical care, education, housing, and community support.

The Role

As a Recovery worker, you’ll be responsible for working with and motivating service users to engage in the recovery programmes they offer in Devon. Their service welcomes people at any stage in their recovery journey, starting with the open end of harm reduction, through to brief interventions, extended interventions and structured treatment, and Recovery Navigators offer support throughout. 

They have 3 permanent positions and 1 fixed term position available.

Day-to-day duties include: 

  • Working autonomously to manage a caseload of service users, including delivering a range of psychosocial interventions. 
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community.
  • Facilitating group sessions with a range of individuals of varying backgrounds. 
  • Working with partnership agencies to ensure continuity of care and support. 
  • Providing duty cover for individuals accessing our services.
