We are looking for a Catering Manager to join our team who can inspire and empower Companions, through support and training, to create healthy and nutritious meals both in the Community Kitchen and in our Café @ Emmaus. They say an army marches on its stomach and that is certainly the case here at Emmaus.The Community Kitchen provides hot meals and salads for Companions, staff and volunteers and the Café @ Emmaus serves home-made fare for our visitors.
The successful applicant will be part of the management team, led by the Chief Executive and will have key responsibilities within that team. We are looking for someone with a passion to take our Café and Community kitchen to the next level by
offering excellent home made food prepared by Companions using ingredients grown here on site. A friendly nature is a must as well as experience working with different dietary and allergy requirements.
So, if you have excellent communication skills, with a desire to train and support people with a variety needs and have a positive, motivational attitude we would love to hear from you. You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates from a background of supporting adults who have faced multiple disadvantages into work, job coaching, mentoring and training.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Tuesdays to Saturdays

Location: The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our clients Bradford, Peterborough or Camberley office with travel to other sites as required.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: The spot salary for this post is £49,228 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

They’re looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join their Strategy, Policy & Insights team. The Senior Policy Advisor will be responsible for providing professional support to the development and review of policies that support the strategic objectives of the organisation
About the role and person:
As their Senior Policy Advisor, your role will involve extensive research and strategic horizon scanning to pre-empt proposed regulatory changes, stakeholder engagement, and the creation of evidence-based policy recommendations to ensure that they meet its regulatory and legislative requirements, enhances service delivery, and promotes sustainable housing solutions. To be successful the Senior Policy Advisor will need to work closely with senior business leaders across the organisation to ensure policies are fit for purpose, understood, and followed by all relevant colleagues.
This is an exciting opportunity as you’ll be involved in setting up and shaping their Policy function, supporting their Corporate Strategy of delivering lasting change. This is a dynamic role with a national remit.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Senior Policy Advisor?
• Degree in Public Policy, Social Policy, Housing, or a related field, or other relevant experience.
• Proven experience in policy development, research, and analysis within the housing sector or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housing legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Populo Living are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning. Populo Living is a development and housing company wholly owned by a single shareholder, Newham Council. Populo Living enable Newham to keep control of Council land and build high quality, low carbon homes and neighbourhoods whilst retaining the developer profit for Newham Council, in the form of new affordable homes and long-term investment income.
The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.
The role:
- Lead, manage and motivate a team of four with two direct reports.
- Lead on all treasury related matters for the group such as arranging new funding, loan compliance, cashflow and banking.
- Lead on the organisation’s annual financial plan, including extensive sensitivity analysis of key performance indicators.
- Lead on the review of management accounts and production of board papers.
- Attend relevant committees and board meetings as required.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Deputise for the Director of Finance and Resources as required.
- Support the Financial Controller to deliver year end accounts.
- Oversee cashflow forecasting, managing all cash and loan balances.

We have recently received funding to explore expansion into Scotland for the Faith in Affordable Housing project. This will be a 15-month project with potential to expand, subject to funding.
The proposed project is to undertake a scoping exercise across Scotland, to ascertain the need for social and affordable housing, and the key stakeholders providing housing, as well as the potential presented by faith organisation-owned assets to meet housing need. The resulting feasibility study and business plan will then inform the potential next steps for Faith in Affordable Housing Scotland.
