Generous Giving Administrator

Our client reduces the administrative burden for parishes by handling the processing of gifts, claiming of Gift Aid and managing general inquiries centrally. This alleviates the need for individual churches to manage Gift Aid claims and paperwork, allowing them to focus more on their core mission and community priorities.

In 2023, they processed over £85 million in gifts and Gift Aid. This was distributed to more than 4,500 church communities already using them. They served a significant number of givers, totalling over 75,000 with this number growing daily.

They are looking for a detail-oriented individual to receive, process and manage regular gifts and to provide the required administration support to Church of England parishes and givers. Please note that this is an office-based role on a permanent part time basis 

As Generous Giving administrator your key responsibilities will be : 

  • Receive, record and process gifts from a variety of channels (phone, postal, online).
  • Ensure record keeping requirements for gifts and associated documentation are accurate and kept secure through the use of electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Comply with GDPR and maintain giver confidentially.
  • Support new Parishes through their registration process and register new parishes on the management database.
  • Support the creation, development, streamlining and maintenance of a consistent and central record of processes and procedures.
  • Provide support with ad-hoc projects, pilots, initiatives and operational improvement tasks. 
  • Assist with communications, meetings and events.
  • To welcome visitors and/or receive incoming enquiries and telephone calls - dealing promptly and courteously with enquiries and ensuring high-quality customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of working in a busy office environment, be flexible and adaptable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A good knowledge of MS Office - excel, word and outlook is an essential criteria.
