World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.STEP is open to all refugees, and people seeking asylum with the right to work.

Our strategy over the next 12 months is to refine and strengthen our programmes, with a focus on excellence, innovation and sustainability across STEP.  Central to these efforts is adopting ‘Lean Impact’ principles across our organisation and ways of working, with the support of Spring Impact. The starting point of this work is the planning and pilot of STEP Online, an intensive version of STEP to fast track those who are highly skilled. We plan to explore, test and plan for this programme in consultancy with Spring Impact, leveraging their Lean Impact Methodology.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading this piece of work with two main objectives:

1. Explore, test and plan for STEP Online. This will involve being the lead implementer of testing minimum viable products, participating in workshops and identified working groups, and co-leading on test coaching sessions and team reflections with Spring Impact.
2. Establish and build internal capacity and development for Lean Impact. This includes supporting a discipline of continuous testing and learning at World Jewish Relief to be able to rapidly trial, refine and scale other models across the organisation on a longer-term basis.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience developing and implementing innovative and community-centred learning practices, including designing prototypes, data collection, analysis and using a high level of numeracy to make data-driven decisions to build impactful solutions (i.e., Lean Impact, Equity-Centred Design, Human Centred Design).
• Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource management.
• Experience working on projects for people who have experienced forced migration, particularly, in the refugee employment sphere would be desirable.
• Empathy & Emotional Awareness - Ability to hear accurately and understand unspoken, partly expressed thoughts, needs and concerns of others
• Data Analysis - A strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, the measurement of project and social impact and sufficiently numerate to be highly competent at analysing data sets.
• Self-motivated - Highly entrepreneurial, flexible, and committed to getting things done

As our Mass Fundraising Acquisition Marketing Manager (Events) you’ll be part of an in-house team of marketeers responsible for driving mass, new customer acquisition across a portfolio of fundraising products and activities, including events, integrated brand and fundraising campaigns, cash appeals, and regular giving activity.

About you

We’re proud to have recently been given funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to complete the next phase of our ‘Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood & Dulwich Wood’ project. 

The project will focus on 27.4 hectares of ancient woodland habitat in the largest remining tract of the Great North Wood in South London. This natural heritage is a vital resource for the local community – the Woods saw an unprecedented 81% increase in footfall during the height of the pandemic, with visitor numbers increasing from 189,645 in 2019 to 343,385 in 2020. Only fragments of the ancient Great North Wood landscape remain; this project will help to ensure the long-term protection of the largest area of remaining Woodland. 

As Project Manager, you can expect to:

• Oversee all work, ensuring that all project work is completed on time and to budget as described in the delivery phase, holding quarterly meetings to ensure we’re on track
• liaise and further develop relationships with relevant partners and funders
• oversee procurement and management of contractors in the capital works programme for the Woods, this includes the installation footpaths, conservation fencing, boundary railings, and improved entranceways

The Role

As a key member of the Institute’s growing nature team, you will be working specifically international nature markets. You will be working on a funded project of work, to support COP15 signatories to understand and implement models and markets that unlock private sector capital into nature restoration and conservation and help them meet their Target 19 commitments. This role will be part of a three-person team within the broader nature team.

You will gain exposure to a range of stakeholders including policy makers, project developers and the private sector across multiple countries. Your responsibilities will include organising stakeholder convening, undertaking research and analysis, developing content, and managing sub-projects autonomously.

Collaboration with industry, government, civil society and academia internationally is a key element of this role and we are looking for team members who will thrive in a dynamic environment where creative thinking, communication and time management skills are essential.

This is an exciting role for someone who has already gained relevant experience within the international development and/or environmental or sustainable finance sectors, looking to continue a career in the emerging area of nature-based investing and natural capital.

The Institute’s nature team is in growth mode and as such this role would suit a versatile project manager who is focused on timely delivery. You are expected to have some stakeholder management skills and strong research and writing skills.

We are looking for a Commercial Senior Manager / Associate Director to drive the next phase of the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS). The NILS pilot has already lent over £10 million to more than 13,000 financially vulnerable people, demonstrating the positive impact of affordable credit. This is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-million-pound programme through its final stages and oversee its strategic scaling for long-term sustainability.

The scheme is currently funded by HM Treasury, JP Morgan, and Fair4All Finance. We are looking for an experienced senior lead with a background in both commercial delivery and business case development, fluent in working with the public sector, mainstream finance, and civil society to oversee the final stages of the pilot delivery and to take charge of scaling up NILS.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) Programme: Oversee the final delivery phase of the NILS pilot, with the Programme Delivery Manager

· Develop the Business Case: Build the long-term commercial model and business case for NILS, identifying sustainable funding solutions and influencing senior stakeholders

· Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key partners

· Scaling and Expansion: Work with financial services providers to expand NILS beyond the pilot

The London Diocesan Fund (LDF) is seeking a Safeguarding Administrator to play a key role within the Safeguarding team, based from Causton Street. 

Job Summary 

The Safeguarding Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support for meetings and safeguarding activities to aid the smooth running of the safeguarding team. This role ensure that the safeguarding team provides a professional and friendly service to parishes within the Diocese of London, and to the London Diocesan Fund.

Job responsibilities 

Administrative support for meetings 

• Provide administrative support for the Safeguarding Leadership Team. 
• Produce high quality accurate minutes of team meetings and ensure they run smoothly. 

Administrative support for safeguarding activity 

• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide day to day administrative support, working closely to ensure functions run smoothly.
• Work within national and diocesan safer churches policy and procedures as defined in the safer churches programme of work.
• Support the Safeguarding Advisors with safeguarding agreements and risk assessments as required.
• Provide effective administrative support, maintaining standards as required by the Diocese.
• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide performance data to assist the regular reporting management information.  
• Provide administrative support for Disclosure and Baring Service checks.

Training administration  

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the safeguarding training programme.
• Support trainers’ timely preparation, pre and post training.
• Co-ordinate the evaluation process to assess trainer performance and impact on learning.
• Manage safeguarding training inbox.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Area Offices to keep licensed clergy and lay ministers training kept up to date. 

General administrative support 

• Ensure confidentially in line with GDPR.  
• Process Invoices and annual subscriptions in a timely way and maintain tracking spreadsheet.
• Update contact details of local authorities, LADO’s and statutory agencies covering the diocesan area.  
• Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the role.

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Experience in the undertaking of routine and time-bound tasks
• Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard
• IT proficiency (MS Office suite)
• Fluency in spoken English and ability to write clearly in English.
• Ability to handle people sensitively

This is a pivotal role within our charity, leading the finance and operations teams and supporting the Charity’s strategic direction. Reporting directly to our CEO, the Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for overseeing our finances and core services, including HR and IT, and acting as Company Secretary. • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CCAB, or CIMA) with significant experience in leading finance functions, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.

• Proven track record of managing financial and operational teams, with expertise in charity governance and accounting, investments, and strategic planning.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data to inform decision-making.

• A deep understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements within the charity sector. 

The ideal candidate will have experience within a charity finance & operational role, with the corresponding knowledge and understanding of investment oversight, charity governance, and the HR & IT functions. An understanding of the healthcare context is also beneficial.
