Lack of high-quality nature-related data is one of the biggest obstacles holding financial institutions back from addressing nature-related risks. Global Canopy innovates to increase the scope, quality and accessibility of freely available data. We work to enable investors, lenders, insurers, financial regulators and others in the sector to identify and mitigate their impacts and dependencies on nature – and to seize the opportunity of investing in nature-positive solutions. Our work on nature-related finance centres on three collaborative flagship projects, the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), ENCORE and The Little Book of Investing in Nature.
This project manager role is responsible for effective coordination of resources of the SECO and Horizon projects primarily, as well as a number of the NRF team project management tasks. 
This includes coordination with project partners, ensuring project documentation, annual plan development and more; ensuring any issues are escalated in a timely way, and that project(s) can achieve their objectives on time and budget.

To be successful in this role,  these are the things that will matter the most: 

• A track record of managing project operations to a high standard, particularly around reporting, results tracking and relations management. 
• Able to work with both external and internal stakeholders, delivering clear and professional communication 
• Able to work to support a variety of different team members including Nature-related Finance team project management tasks. Organise meetings, support on meeting materials, NRF project and work plans and results tracking.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Project Assistant to support our Programmes Team in Glasgow on the Reclaiming Our Power project.

Salary: Starting salary £26,125 rising to £29,260 pro rata to 0.5 full time equivalent.

Hours: Part time, 0.5 full time equivalent – currently 16 hours per week.

This exciting Project Assistant role will work closely with the Programme Development Officer to support the development and delivery of Reclaiming Our Power. Reclaiming Our Power will explore the impact of racist microaggressions on mental health through creative peer support workshops with people with lived experience of racism, and will use learning to co-design and co-deliver learning opportunities to people working in the public and charity sectors delivering Glasgow’s services.

This project and role are funded with thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland.

What does the role involve?

• Organising events including creative peer support workshops, volunteer meetings, and training sessions
• Supporting the co-development and co-delivery of tailored training to people training/working in public-facing services
• Acting as a key point of contact for group participants and volunteers, building relationships with them and responding to queries and concerns
• Outreach work with people from Black and minority ethnic communities (including refugees and people seeking asylum) and organisations working with them across Glasgow

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

About the Role

The focus of the role is to lead Love Barton during the Charity Manager’s maternity leave, managing the existing projects detailed below, as well as working with the Trustees on fundraising. 

Projects

Health & Wellbeing: 

Hear4You is a listening service set up to support people in the community who are struggling emotionally. We receive referrals from our local GP surgery and people are matched with a volunteer listener for up to twelve 1-2-1 sessions. 

We also run an emergency foodbank twice a week in partnership with CEF , and are in the process of setting up a pantry in partnership with Mercy in Action to support 25 struggling families with ongoing food poverty support. This will be delivered by volunteers but will need general oversight from you. 

Your job would be to:

• Recruit, train and support volunteers

• Manage these projects to ensure they run smoothly and safely

Youth:

Know Your Worth is an eight week self esteem course for teenage girls run twice a year for local young people followed by 6-12 months of mentoring. We have a small team of volunteer mentors and a trained volunteer leader who runs the course. 

We are also setting up regular opportunities to gather the girls who have completed the Know Your Worth course for ongoing support. 

Your job would be:

• Support the Know Your Worth Leader (volunteer role) in organising and running our Know Your Worth course for teenage girls, overseeing sign ups, communications with families, safeguarding and health & safety.

• Recruit, train and support volunteer mentors to ensure mentoring programme runs effectively and safely. 

• Develop and manage our monthly/termly sessions for those who have attended a Know Your Worth course

Flourishing Families:

In response to local need, we want to provide support for families before they reach crisis points. We do this through 1-2-1 pastoral support and the Kids Matter Parenting courses as well as hosting seasonal family events and a weekly toddler group that’s run in partnership with Barton Community Church. 

Your job would be:

• To provide and coordinate targeted pastoral care to individual families in need. 

• To organise and deliver a termly, seasonal community event ideally in partnership with other local groups and organisations

Other key tasks/responsibilities 

• Enable the work, relationships and partnerships of Love Barton to continue and, expand the reach, visibility and community integration of the charity 

• Network with other key providers and stakeholders in Barton and attend community meetings to represent Love Barton 

• Work with the trustees to identify funding streams to sustain the role and projects

• Lead all recruitment, training and management of volunteers including ensuring safeguarding training and DBS certificates are up to date 

• Line-manage any sessional staff

Supporting someone at the end of their life is not just about providing medical care. Individuals and communities add an important layer of extra support allowing the normal and every day to continue. As part of the Compassionate Communities agenda, our Hospice Neighbour project brings together our patients with people from their local community who provide simple social and practical support for a few hours each week.

The Hospice Neighbour Coordinator role makes this happen! The successful candidate will be responsible for developing this important service. They’ll act as a single point of contact providing timely advice and guidance for project volunteers, facilitate bi-monthly volunteer support group sessions and build relationships with both internal and external referral partners. There is a strong demand for this wonderful project and this role is a fantastic development opportunity for the service and the successful candidate.

We’re looking for a highly organised, capable and positive volunteer project coordinator. You will understand asset-based community development and have insight and experience of the issues that affect an individual at end of life. You’ll have great interpersonal skills, be approachable, open, and able to communicate with volunteers and staff across the organisation. You’ll demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work, have a positive solution focused outlook, and the ability to prioritise and manage a broad workload.

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. Much of this work will involve working alongside volunteers and clergy in parishes to identify local need and the appropriate responses to help meet this need; supporting them to develop projects including measures of success. The role is also about promoting the prophetic call to serve those in need; building networks and trusting relationships across the Diocese; and acting as a persistent advocate and champion within, and beyond the Diocese, for those at the margins of society.

You will have significant experience of working with vulnerable people and doing so in in partnership with a range of stakeholders. Being able to manage multiple projects, including budgets; build the capacity of others and be effective and proactive in communicating are all key. An understanding, and appreciation of, God’s call to serve the poor is essential as is being comfortable in talking about Christian faith and theology.

World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.

This position will lead on member communications and management, as well as the campaign management for World Obesity Day. Main responsibilities will include managing the day to day membership provision for the organisation, acting as Project Manager for World Obesity Day, leading on campaign resource development, liaising with members and chairing the Global Advisory Group.

Who we are looking for

Our Communications Services team is seeking a talented Communications Officer, Social Media and Digital, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree.

You will need to be creative with the ability to produce social media campaigns, digital content and videos, and lead the development of engaging websites to tell our clients’ stories. Plus, you’ll need to be highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks to coordinate and deliver a wide range of engaging communications materials. You should also be open to travel, as the role could require you to visit projects in Africa or Asia.

What you will do

You’ll lead our social media and digital services for international development and research organisations around the world, as well as coordinating and providing advice on a range of other communications projects – covering topics such as climate change, health, poverty reduction, social equity, agriculture, water resources management, and green cities. You’ll need to think strategically and creatively, respond effectively to emerging trends, and help our team develop and grow.

Your role will include:

• Leading social media and digital communications services: you will conceptualise, coordinate and deliver social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters and other digital products for our clients – leading innovative content strategies that drive engagement.
• Content creation: you will create social media content and assets, graphics, videos and animations. You will also develop design templates and mock-ups, format presentations and Microsoft Word documents, produce event materials and make website updates.
• Project management: you will be the main point of contact for specific clients and projects, gathering requests for new products and services, and coordinating content development and graphic design work with other team members to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. This may lead to overseas trips for some clients.
• Managing Scriptoria’s social media and website: you will lead Scriptoria’s external social media marketing and ensure our website and digital landscape remains dynamic and up to date. You will test and advise the team on new tools or programs.
• Business development as part of the team: you will explain our work to potential new clients, showcase our many successful projects, increase the amount of digital work flowing into the company, and so ensure that Scriptoria’s Communications team moves from strength to strength.

Working at Scriptoria

This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, gain experience in different areas and contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides. As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is happy to support a variety of tasks and develop further skills, as needed, in the role.

Our staff have the flexibility to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, South-West London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30; 40 hours/week). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings with clients. Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with other team members to share skills and exchange ideas.

You will have 25 days of annual leave per year, plus UK public holidays.

Key skills and experience required

1. A 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of five years’ work experience in a communications role.
3. Extensive knowledge and use of social media channels (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.), marketing platforms (e.g. for newsletters) and management tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
4. Experience using a range of tools to create digital communications materials (e.g. Canva and video editing software; Illustrator and Premier Pro would be an advantage) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
5. Understanding of the digital landscape, emerging trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital communications (including SEO, UI, UX, Information Architecture).
6. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media, digital and campaign strategies, and using reporting and analytics tools – with proven success in driving engagement and followers.
7. Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
8. Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.
9. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

Job Description

To take the lead in recruiting volunteers across Yellow Submarine’s projects and activities and provide support to volunteers enabling them to carry out their roles through training and pastoral support.

The successful applicant requires exceptional organisational ability and a willingness to support and get involved. Key Duties*

• Safe recruitment of volunteers across the organisation and projects; this will include the development of relationships with key sources of volunteers e.g. schools, colleges etc.

• Management of volunteers across the organisation; providing support and supervision. This will include any students or interns on placements with Yellow Submarine.

Office based at the Innovation Centre, Canterbury, with travel to and working from different bemix locations in Kent, as and when needed.

Hours: Working 37 hours per week, working Monday - Friday between 9am - 5pm .  Working hours need to have flexibility to respond to tight deadlines with extra hours, taken as time off in lieu.

Location: Mainly at the Canterbury Innovation Centre, University of Kent site, Canterbury. With great facilities, including free parking, cafe, reliable local transport connections and lovely outside spaces to explore on breaks/lunch/walking supervision. The Role

As Area Manager, you'll lead your dispersed team through in-person support visits, 1:1s, phone chats, team and individual communications, and virtual and in-person meetings.

During support visits, you'll ensure Fundraisers uphold the standards, code of conduct, values and brand through their communication and display. You'll do at least one monthly recruiting shift with each team member, providing valuable feedback to Fundraisers and follow up individual action plans for all team members.
