Job title:                                    Chief Revenue Officer

Location: This role is a blend of working 1-2 days a week from the Loughborough office on the Loughborough University campus and working from home.

Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 per annum.

Hours:   Full time

Contract type:  Permanent 

 As Chief Revenue Officer, you will play a key role in realising the charity’s vision and mission of expanding its activities and impact. The overall purpose of the role is to lead the development and implementation of the charity’s revenue strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise existing revenue streams, identify new business opportunities, and drive the organisation's overall growth and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing short, medium, and long term income targets and business plans in line with the charity’s strategy and growth ambitions.

  • Providing oversight of the charity’s current and future income streams, their relative value, impact and sustainability

  • Development and execution of revenue generation tactics including sponsorship, business and charity of the year partnerships, commercial sales & licensing, government contracts, lottery funding, trusts & foundations, and individual giving

  • Business development within the charity and through its trading subsidiary harnessing existing properties and developing new assets.

  • Maximising the charity’s intellectual property and pursue a pipeline of new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.

  • Working across the senior leadership team to develop new properties and partnerships which generate revenue for the charity while contributing to the mission, and aligning with charitable objectives.

The successful candidate will have a track record in establishing and growing revenue streams and organisational income, with proven experience in diverse leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth. Experience in a senior leadership role driving revenue growth is key, for example from activity, commercial activity, corporate partnerships, commissioned services and fundraising and demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and customer/member retention is a must.
