Please note: This is a 12-month FTC/Secondment and a part time role (28 hours). The salary is £40,000 pro rata for 28 hours.

The Alliance has been founded by four organisations: Save the Children, Little Village, Baby Bank Network Bristol and Purposeful Ventures, and is being incubated by Save the Children and Purposeful Ventures who provide fundraising capacity and resource. About the role
This is an exciting time to join the Baby Bank Alliance. As the Fundraising and Partnership Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who will be responsible for securing funds and goods for the Baby Bank Alliance, working independently and alongside our incubating partners (Save the Children UK and Purposeful Ventures) and the community of baby banks across the country.
This is an incredible time to join our growing organization. You will be responsible for securing, nurturing and managing new partnerships, as well as existing. ,Your work will involve fostering new relationships with well-known household brands, identifying new partnership opportunities, and securing contributions that directly impact families in need. A primary focus will be on generating in-kind donations on a national scale to support baby banks and the communities they serve.
In this role, you will:
• Identify and develop new partnerships and funding, that bring in financial and in kind donation
• Seek prospective partnerships and donors to secure new revenue and ways to maximise awareness of BBA
• Manage and strengthen existing relationships
• Lead on creation and implementation of the BBA's first partnerships strategy
• Track and report on fundraising and partnership performance, using data and feedback to update key stakeholders
• Connect between baby banks and corporate partners with effective coordination and communication. Building relationships and representing the Baby Bank Alliance is key.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Proven track record of securing significant financial donations for a programme or initiative, and building long term donor relationships
• Proven experience in developing new fundraising and partnership
• Proven experience of managing partnerships, corporate fundraising, or a related field
• Strong relationship building and communication skills – the ability to influence and engage with different stakeholders is important
• A strategic and results orientated approach
• Excellent organisational and project management skills

Ways of Working:

This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver collaborative projects and events with Southwark’s charities and community groups, funders, businesses and statutory partners. The role is a unique combination of building relationships with VCS groups through one-to-one funding and governance support, helping the VCS to make decisions about community grants, and organising collaborative networking events activities with the VCS and its partners.It directly builds on the Funding and Relationships recommendations in the borough’s State of the Sector report.

Main purpose

Support small grass roots groups through a ‘Funding Differently’ grants process with bid-writing, business planning, and strategy. Bring them together to share learning and collaborate on projects.

Facilitate our Funding Working Group – a network to bring together funders and VCS group to address the challenges outlined in our State of the Sector report.

Lead on two projects to support parts of the VCS to collaborate and effect change, for example bringing together youth groups, funders, and statutory partners to be more strategic about funding youth services in the borough.

Organise two networking or shared learning events per year to bring together parts of the sector to share good practice and build connections.

Head of Portfolio (Micro-entrepreneurs)

We are seeking a Head of Portfolio to lead and manage a team that curates and scales a portfolio of solutions that deliver impact across our work with the micro-entrepreneur sector.
You will oversee and advise a team that build a pipeline of potential investments, structures deals and prepares proposals for scrutiny and approval, creating opportunities to invest in businesses that enable micro-entrepreneurs (in Sub Saharan Africa and India) to earn a living income through productive uses of energy and/or the displacement of energy.
Responsible for all aspects of the micro-entrepreneur portfolio you will lead a range of high-level strategic partnerships and relationships, both internally and externally, whilst ensuring delivery across all elements of the portfolio.
To be successful in this role you have significant commercial experience in a business field ideally gained in a fast growth venture, with Board level experience
Responsibilities include:
- Leadership and development of a team of Business Development Directors and Business Development Advisers designated to the portfolio (remote)

- Proven ability to identify & evaluate disruptive and transformative solutions and to understand risk.
- Experience in scaling social enterprises or market enablers or working in a senior capacity in a funding institution.
- Experience of establishing and developing strategic partnerships.
- Experience of working with businesses that have needed to pivot or turnaround, requiring restructuring, and raising capital, especially in developing countries.
- Experience of working in the not-for-profit / philanthropic sector will be an advantage.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home (ideally based in Exeter/Plymouth) but covering the Devon/Cornwall region. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region. Occasional travel to London will be required. About the role:
This role is based in Lewisham Hospital.
As a Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will be:
You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse.
Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office Singer Street and in co-location at Lewisham Hospital.
You will need:
- To be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
- Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
