The Jewish Museum London has undergone substantial positive change over the past year, moving out of our Camden site and moving to a ‘Museum without Walls’ model. With new leadership installed at both lay and staff levels and a consultation process about to begin for the development of a five and fifteen-year strategy the Museum is looking for a new member of the team to assist our new CEO, Sally Angel, as she works to deliver a new vision for the Museum.
Our museum is made up of passionate and expert staff and a collection of over 40,000 objects which are both accredited and designated with Outstanding status by Arts Council England. Our learning programmes hold multiple awards, and our visitor feedback is consistently very high, however, we have much bigger ambitions than our current success. The Museum is looking to expand, in space, in profile and in audience reach. Reporting to the CEO, the appointed candidate will have the organisational and administrative skills to ensure the CEO and SLT can efficiently run the Museum as well as provide general administrative support to the office.

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. Background to the Role

Our helpline is a first point of contact for many older people and their families and carers as they tackle a variety of issues around finance, social engagement, housing and council tax, travel concessions such as Blue Badge and Taxi card. You will play a crucial role in answering our busy Information & Advice Helpline phone: listening carefully and sympathetically to callers, finding solutions to their queries or issues and. The role is varied and very rewarding, and no two days are the same.

Job Purpose:
The Bookkeeping/admin role include Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes. Answering the telephone, ordering stationary. Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeepers are responsible for several duties related to managing financial records these responsibilities may include:
· Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software (QuickBooks online) or databases then filing hard copies
· Preparing financial statements showing organisation income and expenditure
· Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
· Completing VAT returns (if related)

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and Southwest London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.
The post holder will support with rostering of the team of volunteers where necessary and delegation of duties and jobs.
