Lead a small team raising the resources and engaging with audiences to support the delivery of wide ranging services helping refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to settle and thrive locally. You will deliver income and support by managing your own small team and collaborating with the rest of the organisation to tell stories, share information, build understanding and deliver the income needed to run the organisation. The manager will have proven all round experience and a track record of delivering income from multiple and varied sources. They will need to work from the Oxford office at least two days a week to build relations with other teams. Beyond that location and working hours are flexible. 

Summary of Role and Person:

The Volunteer Coordinator supports the development and management of volunteer roles at The Jumbulance Trust. This includes recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers, particularly those in carer and fundraising roles. All administrative duties involved in creating records and storing personal data of volunteers.

Strategic Initiatives:

  - Develop new volunteering opportunities and support Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

  - Establish training placements with nursing and health professions students.

Your key responsibilities will be flexible. You’ll manage your workload and set objectives, priorities and deadlines with the Head of Fundraising. Your work will include:

It is an exciting time to join Helen & Douglas House as we embark on our new 3-year strategy, where a Coporate Partnerships Executive will support the growth of the Corporate Partnerships income. In this role you will be responsible for managing and developing your own relationships with corporate partners. The Role

Sitting within the Discipleship and Social Justice team, this role provides support to three diverse and exciting areas of Church of England parish ministry. Generous Giving helps parishes to raise finances to fund their mission and ministry, Social Justice enables churches to practice their faith by supporting their communities, and Environment ensures that churches are able to make informed choices to reduce their carbon footprint and promote biodiversity.

You will enable these areas by supporting the parish advisers, through communicating with church volunteers, providing resources, and organising/recording project engagement and training.

Reporting to the Generous Giving Adviser, you will be supported in managing their workload. However, as you will be working with three advisers and various stakeholders, you must be able to proactively manage your time and negotiate timescales. Engaging with a diverse broad range of volunteers and clergy across the Diocese, you must have a proven track record of delivering positive customer support.

There are two working pattern options available for this role: Option 1 allows you to work Monday through Thursday, and Option 2 allows you to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

About You

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins the work. However, all our staff do have a desire to make a difference.

We are seeking a motivated individual with proven IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), contact database management, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. You will have previous administrative experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while prioritising tasks and handling sensitive and confidential information.

About the Role

The focus of the role is to lead Love Barton during the Charity Manager’s maternity leave, managing the existing projects detailed below, as well as working with the Trustees on fundraising. 

Projects

Health & Wellbeing: 

Hear4You is a listening service set up to support people in the community who are struggling emotionally. We receive referrals from our local GP surgery and people are matched with a volunteer listener for up to twelve 1-2-1 sessions. 

We also run an emergency foodbank twice a week in partnership with CEF , and are in the process of setting up a pantry in partnership with Mercy in Action to support 25 struggling families with ongoing food poverty support. This will be delivered by volunteers but will need general oversight from you. 

Your job would be to:

• Recruit, train and support volunteers

• Manage these projects to ensure they run smoothly and safely

Youth:

Know Your Worth is an eight week self esteem course for teenage girls run twice a year for local young people followed by 6-12 months of mentoring. We have a small team of volunteer mentors and a trained volunteer leader who runs the course. 

We are also setting up regular opportunities to gather the girls who have completed the Know Your Worth course for ongoing support. 

Your job would be:

• Support the Know Your Worth Leader (volunteer role) in organising and running our Know Your Worth course for teenage girls, overseeing sign ups, communications with families, safeguarding and health & safety.

• Recruit, train and support volunteer mentors to ensure mentoring programme runs effectively and safely. 

• Develop and manage our monthly/termly sessions for those who have attended a Know Your Worth course

Flourishing Families:

In response to local need, we want to provide support for families before they reach crisis points. We do this through 1-2-1 pastoral support and the Kids Matter Parenting courses as well as hosting seasonal family events and a weekly toddler group that’s run in partnership with Barton Community Church. 

Your job would be:

• To provide and coordinate targeted pastoral care to individual families in need. 

• To organise and deliver a termly, seasonal community event ideally in partnership with other local groups and organisations

Other key tasks/responsibilities 

• Enable the work, relationships and partnerships of Love Barton to continue and, expand the reach, visibility and community integration of the charity 

• Network with other key providers and stakeholders in Barton and attend community meetings to represent Love Barton 

• Work with the trustees to identify funding streams to sustain the role and projects

• Lead all recruitment, training and management of volunteers including ensuring safeguarding training and DBS certificates are up to date 

• Line-manage any sessional staff

• Manage the budgets for each project, evaluating outcomes and supporting the reporting to funders and trustees 

• Meet regularly with the BCC leadership team to ensure a close partnership 

• Attend regular supervision and commit to personal development

• Knowledgeable and experienced in safeguarding and DBS policy and practice

• There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be a practising Christian.

About this role:

This role is a remote role (must be in England or Wales) within a supportive and friendly team. As the Fundraising Officer for Community and Events you will:

• Support the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with Victim Support's vision, mission and values.
• Implement and support impactful activities associated with our Community, Fundraising Events and Individual Giving income streams.
• Develop, advertise and recruit fundraisers into a calendar of third-party events.
• Provide excellent supporter care by offering support, guidance and fundraising materials to cultivate long-term relationships.
• Write and design engaging fundraising communications such as newsletters, appeals, articles, case studies and thank-you correspondence.
• Encourage and facilitate effective fundraising activity by our staff and volunteers outside the Fundraising Team.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in setting and successfully meeting goals
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with different audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Good organisational skills; ability to work under own initiative, flexible and able to prioritise effectively
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases and a familiarity with social media

Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a fundraising or communications related role, and have a good working understanding and knowledge of the charity sector and available funding sources; however, this is not a requirement.
