I am delighted to be working with a fantastic charity in search of an Interim Finance Manager. This is a full-time, London based hybrid role for 6-months. As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for primarily the management accounts of the Charity. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, the Head of Foundation and the rest of the Senior Leadership team to ensure that the Charity is financially controlled and effectively and efficiently managed in all areas of operation.

He/she works across all of the Foundation’s operations team and the Business team to ensure that all parts of the Charity are well managed and financially controlled, building the base on which the Foundation can continue to thrive and grow.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts on a timely basis and assistance with the timely preparation of the Finance Report for the regular Trustee meetings.

Assist to ensure that the Charity complies with all financial, reporting and record keeping requirements.

Assist with compliance issues with the Charity Commission and Companies House and associated regulations.

Support the development and implementation of the ‘Grow and Improve’ strategy, in close partnership with the Senior Finance Manager, Head of Foundation and the Senior Leadership Team with an ability to challenge ideas.

A Finance expert, who can support peers and staff to develop their financial competencies, while ensuring staff feel valued and respected to excel in their roles.

As our Mass Fundraising Acquisition Marketing Manager (Events) you’ll be part of an in-house team of marketeers responsible for driving mass, new customer acquisition across a portfolio of fundraising products and activities, including events, integrated brand and fundraising campaigns, cash appeals, and regular giving activity.

You’ll collaborate with our creative, media, and third-party agency suppliers, supporting the Senior Mass Fundraising Acquisition Marketing Manager in the development, execution, and optimisation of multi-million pound, omni-channel marketing and fundraising campaigns and marcomms within the overall British Heart Foundation (BHF) integrated media plan.

About you

The role

Brief overview of role

The Candidate
Experience of working in a fundraising customer service environment, delivering stewardship activities, asking people for money, and understanding the importance of delivering excellent customer care

Excellent call handling skills and the ability to respectfully, honestly and transparently adjust communication to different audiences, recognising the importance of diversity.

Are you passionate about making a difference? We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented and dedicated Finance Officer to join a leading charity that empowers young people and changes lives. In this key role, you will help manage and process their income, working with the CRM database Raiser’s Edge to ensure all donations are handled efficiently and accurately.

As the Finance Officer, you'll be working closely with both the Finance and Fundraising teams, ensuring seamless income reconciliation and supporting the ongoing development of a new CRM system launching in February 2025.

What You’ll Do:

• Administer and process all incoming donations, including from their website, postal, phone, and third-party platforms like JustGiving and Enthuse.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure donations are coded correctly and help prepare Gift Aid claims.
• Provide top-notch supporter care, managing donor correspondence and maintaining donor records.
• Assist with the design and maintenance of the CRM database for effective data selection and reporting.
• Support the Finance Team with income reconciliation and administrative duties.
