Your role

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. The fundraising leader will develop relationships with potential donors, identify fundraising opportunities, and manage the grant application process.

We seek someone who aligns with the DfG mission, has a passion for fundraising and can strategise and deliver new initiatives. The fundraiser will collaborate with program staff, and senior management to develop leads, compelling proposals and reports. The working environment is informal, team-oriented, and encourages individual input and development. Thereby supporting the execution of DfG’s impact driven program to improve life through design. This position reports to the Managing Director of Design for Good.

Key Responsibilities

· Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective donors, program officers, and key stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for grant inquiries, reporting, and communications. 

· Research: Identify and explore funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors whose interests align with our programs. Regularly monitor donor databases and other sources for announcements and opportunities.

· Applications & Fundraising Development: Lead the creation of high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff, ensuring they are compelling, well-structured, and tailored to donor priorities. 

· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all grants meet donor regulations, reporting requirements, and deadlines. Prepare and submit timely, accurate reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and financial impact.

· Monitoring and Evaluation: Track the success of fundraising efforts, monitor progress toward revenue goals, and use data analysis to identify trends and inform strategy, providing regular updates and insights.

· Events, Networking, and Representation: Organize fundraising events and oversee volunteer and partner teams. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and boost resource mobilization.

AFH has taken a leadership role on advocacy for the ongoing conflict in Gaza and has a long history of being a thought leader on the humanitarian crisis in Syria. In order to help achieve this goal, AFH is recruiting an Advocacy & Policy Manager, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Communications, manage and strengthen AFH’s advocacy campaigns, and develop and build networks to support our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy & Policy Manager will also be the focal point between the organisation and policymakers, in the UK and beyond.  

The Advocacy & Policy Manager will advocate the humanitarian needs stemming from the crises in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and other contexts in which the organisation works. They will convey the voice from the ground, to various external audiences, and will build a presence there to promote the organisation’s work, which is rapidly evolving and is entering newer phases.

Your accountabilities as our Advocacy & Policy Manager will include the following:

Building external relations

• Lead on creating and executing an Advocacy strategy and relationship-building plan to ensure AFH is well connected and respected amongst key stakeholders including politicians, policy makers, governing bodies, other NGOs, etc. Regularly seek new opportunities to enhance external relations.
• Represent AFH in advocacy meetings, humanitarian coordination and other forums, conferences, events, and working groups, leading as many as possible.
• Build and maintain AFH’s relationships with influential people and authorities, including politicians and Governing bodies. Facilitate supporting regular and meaningful engagement with them.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.

• Keep abreast of regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.

Supporting internal stakeholders

• Guide and advise AFH’s head and field offices on advocacy issues and trends.
• Support our field offices with Advocacy capacity building and enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding.

• Build up AFH’s advocacy work in relation to domestic programmes.

What we are looking for in our Advocacy & Policy Manager:

Education

• Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field i.e., International Development, International Relations, Public Relations, Economics, Politics.
• Evidence of sector-specific continuous professional development.

Experience

• Strong experience and track record in an advocacy or similar role.
• Experience in building strong relations and networking with key staff within various UN agencies, especially I/NGO, Forums, UN, OCHA meetings and with local ones.

• Active participation with I/NGO Forums desirable.

About the role

This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.

Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.

We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers. 

You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements. 
• Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
• Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
• All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc.

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030.  We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.

Blue Marine is seeking a campaigner to join our policy and media team. This new position will report to the Director of Ocean and Climate. The responsibilities will be to manage a discreet, one year, global marine conservation campaign. This will include managing relationships between the campaign team, NGO partners, influencers and political stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Director, Ocean and Climate, you will:

· Tightly manage a discreet global campaign with a complex network for international stakeholders

· Manage delicate, political nuance to ensure campaign success

· Represent the campaign in international fora where necessary

· Communicate clearly and effectively about the need for the campaign

· Lead on implementation of campaign strategy, delivery against workplan and ultimately campaign success

· Bring your own network, innovation and creativity to the role

· Work with the grant manager and Blue Marine’s finance team to accurately deploy budget

· Support the grant manager with progress reporting to donors, reporting impact of your work

Personal specification

This role concerns a discreet one year (initially) political campaign. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional campaigner, with a track record of achieving impact for the marine environment. They will already be gaining momentum in the sector, with the ability to implement campaigns, understanding the complex political dynamics that go into ocean governance. Experience in the southern ocean, central and south America and at international ocean fora will all be beneficial to the role. An eye for technical detail, organisational rigour when it comes to delivery against workplans and the stamina and temerity to see campaigns through to their conclusion will all be useful in this role.

We are partnering with an organisation that supports members of the armed forces community, including veterans and adult family members with health conditions and other complex challenges, on their journey into employment after leaving service.

This key role involves delivering a grants portfolio to support the strategic aims of Veterans and Family Services. Working alongside the Senior Trusts Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships at the 5- and 6-figure level. The core grant fundraising programme is well-established, with regular funds from military charities and other trusts and foundations. The corporate partnership programme has recently been updated to focus on higher-value grants and broader partnerships.

The charity has ambitious plans to expand its services and is seeking a capable and confident individual who can work autonomously and creatively across a diverse portfolio, while also engaging with the wider team. As Trust and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will: 

• Support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations and corporate foundations. (Account Management 60%, New Business 40%)
• Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with funders to maximise income and ensure excellent supporter care with a team target of £770k
• Write and submit compelling, evidence-based funding applications, targeted to the priorities and criteria of the funder

About the role:

We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Head of Operations will be a collaborative and hands-on professional with project and people management skills, a track record of operational change management, and the ability to inspire colleagues in new ways of working that ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Foundation - driving system, quality and process improvements.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Working with the CEO to deliver effective day-to-day operations for the organisation, managing the Operational Excellence Workstream and our approach to Quality.
• Oversee HR, culture and people function, including recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, employee learning & development, working with our external HR advisors when required.
• Promote a culture of equity, inclusion and collaboration, nurturing a positive and supportive environment for all.
• Embed cross-team working, building key relationships and highlighting synergies across our working practices to deliver efficiencies and improvements.
• Oversee compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, ensuring all policies are current and regularly reviewed, including annual review by trustees (e.g. GDPR, Charities Commission) and manage our Complaints process.
• Lead on the management and implementation of safeguarding - ensuring appropriate policies, training and guidance are regularly reviewed.
• Support the CEO in maintaining strong governance and adherence to best practices in charity governance and reporting, including keeping the risk register up to date and progressing actions.
• Produce management reports for the CEO and Trustees as required, supporting the Annual Report & Accounts production and Board of Trustees administration.
• Oversee cyber security and coordinate IT support services, including the Foundation’s IT and digital platforms – maintaining licenses, agreements and contracts.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience include:

• Previous experience in a Senior Operations management role, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit setting
• Strong leadership qualities to lead operations and fulfil an executive function
• Reliable with a high level of discretion and integrity – able to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
• Excellent IT and digital skills including Microsoft Office 365. Skilled in using workplace systems including Teams and SharePoint
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of managing compliance and risk, including safeguarding and GDPR – able to identify and respond to organisational risks
• Exceptional people management and coaching skills with experience of managing HR and L&D functions
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, able to multi-task with attention to detail
• Demonstrable commitment to ED&I, and actioning this through an inclusive culture and positive working practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Risk management: able to identify and manage organisational risks and operational issues

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity supporting young unaccompanied refugees in England who are looking for an Interim Head of Fundraising & Communications to join their team for an initial 6 months period.

The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.

Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.

There is a blank canvas to be creative and try new things, with lots of scope for the successful applicant to determine where the network opportunities might lie, build long term relationships and develop an exciting programme of external communications and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of organisational objectives.
• Develop, lead and deliver the fundraising strategy – focused on diversification and sustainable income whilst remaining hands on in the establishment of new income streams.
• Establish clear stewardship plans for all supporters, maximising their engagement with the charity.
• Develop and implement the communications strategy – utilising external comms to engage supporters and underpin income generation whilst raising awareness about the issues faced by unaccompanied child refugees.
• Oversee the generation of tailored, multimedia content that raises awareness of the charity and drives increased support.

Person Specification:

• Aligned with the charity's values of: Respect, Integrity, Passion, Grace, Compassion and Wisdom.
• Proven expertise of fundraising across different income streams (e.g. trusts and foundations, community, regional, philanthropy). Expertise of developing new income streams from scratch/a low base would be beneficial but not essential.
• Relational approach – focused on developing long term commitments and support from key stakeholders and donor audiences.
• Experience of working in a communications role/closely with communications teams to maximise the opportunities to engage externally and increase support/awareness.
• Creative approach to fundraising, with realistic ambitions within a small charity environment.

What’s on offer:

• An initial 6 month contract with the potential for extension
