Would you like to be part of an award-winning Charity that helps improve the lives of more than 260,000 individuals each year?

If so, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

CXK is looking for a Skills & Employability Adviser to support a case load of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), or are at risk of becoming NEET, with their transition into post-16 provision.  As a Skills & Employability Adviser, you will use your creativity and mentoring skills to engage young people in the Youth Employability Service (YES), supporting them to move on to their next progression.

Your role will extend beyond direct beneficiary support; you’ll collaborate closely with partner organisations and community hubs throughout East Sussex, ensuring seamless referrals and continued progress for our beneficiaries.

Main responsibilities:

  • Effectively liaising and communicating with a range of partner organisations to identify support for young people as needed.
  • Champion and promote opportunities and resources with the caseload and partners/stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular and consistent contact with young people to gain their trust, delivering effective caseload management, appropriately managing risk and safeguarding.
  • Assess, action plan and review to make sure that appropriate IAG planning, and support is available for young people on caseload.
  • Supporting young people in their local communities, including travel across the county. (A car is essential for this role)

In return for your skills and experience, you’ll receive the following benefits:

  • An annual salary of £24,386 to £29,732 per annum
  • 30-33 days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Defined contribution pension scheme (matched by CXK up to 10% depending on length of service)
  • Death in service life assurance policy (3 x annual salary)
  • Generous sick leave benefits
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Comprehensive training and development programmes
  • Mental health first aiders
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Interest free season ticket loans
  • Interest free parking permit loans
  • Health Assured – Employee Assistance programme

Closing date for applications: 9am, Monday 30th September 2024.

Interviews will be held at our Eastbourne office on Friday 11th October 2024.
