Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT) is a youth development outdoor learning charity which has been improving the skills and life chances of disadvantaged young people since 1956.

We envision a world where all young people strive to create better outcomes for themselves and for their communities. To do this, out on the ocean we empower young people to realise their true potential, supporting them on their journey to adulthood and for some, into volunteering and careers in the maritime sector and the blue economy.

Utilising our fleet of four 72ft Challenger yachts and a 55ft ketch, we were able to support more than 1,200 young people last year. 80% were from disadvantaged backgrounds; 40% were female; and 25% identified as belonging to the global majority. Our aim is to significantly increase the numbers we support over the next few years.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Trusts & Grants fundraiser to join our small, hardworking team.

The role holder will contribute towards achieving our ambitious yearly income target by helping to maintain our well-established Trusts & Grants portfolio, as well as identifying new funding opportunities as we seek to grow and diversify this income stream.

Responsibilities will include developing and submitting winning funding proposals, reporting on funds spent, and excellent stewardship. The role will form part of the Fundraising, Digital and Marketing team, and will sit alongside our current Trusts & Grants fundraiser, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Marketing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in successful Trusts & Grants income generation, including report writing and demonstrating the impact of funding. They will need excellent written skills, communication skills and good attention to detail.

Our intention is for this role to be covered for three days a week, but the successful candidate will have the opportunity to negotiate their preferred working pattern.

PURPOSE OF THE POST/RESPONSIBILITIES

Caudwell Children is a national charity which works to change the lives of disabled and autistic children; change society’s understanding and acceptance of disability; and change public perceptions of the important role that charity plays in society.

Based from the award-winning Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Staffordshire, we seek an experienced relationship manager with the ability to identify opportunities and develop relationships to raise funds which support the charity’s expanding service delivery.

Responsible for the ownership and development of sponsorship and associated donor relationships, this role will play a pivotal part in helping to grow the charity’s fundraising income and helping to change the lives of autistic and disabled children across the UK and beyond.

The successful candidate will join a growing team of enthusiastic fundraising professionals aimed at improving the donor experience and growing the charity’s fundraising income.

The role will be part of the Community Fundraising strand and will be responsible for sponsorship income lines including, but not limited to:

• Event Sponsorship
• Service Sponsorship
• Facilities Sponsorship
• Activity Sponsorship

Through the identification of individuals, businesses and brands which align to the charity’s activities the successful candidate will be required to develop the sponsorship offer, cultivate and secure partnerships, then manage the delivery/reporting of agreed deliverables. 

Success will be supported and monitored by the Director of Corporate Fundraising against KPI’s including lead generation, conversion rates and income growth.

Relationship development will be documented and reported using the charity’s dedicated CRM system (currently Raiser’s Edge).

Bid Support Manager

We opened our Day Centre for older people, adults with disabilities and adults with dementia in October 2021. The Office Manager role is a new position that will provide a wide variety of operational support to the Day Centre Leadership Team as we are embedding and growing our Day Centre offering and increasing the number of clients who attend the Day Centre and the types of services they receive.

We also support older Wandsworth residents in the following groups with outreach in the community and with activities in the Day Centre: BAME; digitally isolated; financially isolated; LGBTQ; socially isolated; women; and those with, or at risk of, mental and/or physical ill health and disabilities.

About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in London, in a key role supporting our Chief Executive and wider executive team.

The Executive Team Assistant will provide confidential EA support to the Chief Executive along with providing organisational support to the wider Executive Team, enabling them to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. Through effective communication and organisation of queries, inbox and diary management, meeting and event coordination along with support on project administration, the post holder will support the CEO and wider Directorate while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

About you 

The successful candidate will need previous experience of supporting Executive teams with the ability to deliver complex tasks and lead in finding ways to support the leadership team to work more effectively. Experience in designing documentation (e.g. project summary reports, presentations and minutes) for projects or change initiatives is essential.

You will enjoy juggling priorities and forward planning to ensure projects and meetings run efficiently. You will be comfortable with autonomy whilst also able to build effective relationships and understand different stakeholder needs. This will be a busy role supporting a wide range of projects and change initiatives and therefore the ability to visualise what success looks like and map a route towards it will be vital for the role.

The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is dedicated to supporting and empowering people living with and affected by MND.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Area Support Co-ordinator to lead, manage and support teams of volunteers, develop, and maintain relationships with local services, and ensure that people living with and affected by MND receive an exceptional service, improved support, and are at the heart of our care initiatives.

A fundamental part of the role is ensuring individuals affected by MND receive tailored support. Your responsibilities will include leading and coordinating volunteer activities, developing branch and group capacity, and establishing new groups as needed.

A key focus will be understanding local needs and collaboratively planning, designing, and delivering support activities. You will build and maintain excellent relationships with our wonderful volunteers, care centres/networks, care co-ordinators and multi-disciplinary health and social care professionals, hospices, other partners.

We are in search of someone who can:

• Identify and address support issues by working with volunteers and individuals affected by MND.
• Guide collaboration within the branch and group network, fostering a supportive environment.
• Proactively manage the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers.
• Facilitate local learning, development, and networking opportunities for volunteers in collaboration with Association colleagues.
• Enable effective communication between volunteers, staff, and the wider Association, promoting a culture of collaboration.

This opportunity is home-based with travel requirements across Hertfordshire and Essex.

Main duties and responsibilities

Deliver high quality community events

• Lead on the delivery of our large-scale events including our Welcome events, our Varsity series and Student Awards
• Manage our SU crew volunteering programme which takes place in the early part of each academic year
• Have oversight of all student-led events ensuring we deliver innovative, bespoke and targeted activities for our members
• Ensuring delivery of a portfolio of SU-led events designed to maximise student engagement and experience
• Manage and support staff to lead and support student groups to produce engaging events to create a sense of community

Delivering excellent student groups

• Manage the creation of engagement plans with student led committees to increase engagement and support the development of groups in such a way to ensure their sustainability
• Manage the delivery of sporting and society activity across UoGSU
• Develop and deliver training and support for student volunteers who lead sports clubs, societies and other student groups within UoGSU
• Develop an inclusive and welcoming culture across all UoGSU student groups, supporting staff in the Student Communities Department to challenge negative cultures where they might arise
• Create and set annual departmental KPIs, monitoring these and reporting as required on the work of the Department
• Have oversight for member discipline and complaints within student groups contributing to an effective and fair process
• Support daily operations for the department where necessary

A dynamic, friendly and innovative care and support business known for its life-changing services is looking for a dedicated and target driven Income and Housing Officer who can maximise the organisation's rental income collection, effectively manage rent arrears and deal with other breaches of the occupancy agreement.

What you'll do:

* Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained
* Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases
* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Contract Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency
* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.
* Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.
* Prepare files and documents for legal action and present cases in County Court hearings for possession claims, money judgements
* Serve NTQs, NOSPs, NRPs and carry out home visits as requested.
* Accurately and comprehensively record all actions on the housing management system and use reports from the housing management system to manage cases and monitor performance
* Assist with the taking on of new agency housing management responsibilities related to new services and as needed with the transfer of housing management responsibilities schemes to other providers

About you:

An understanding of the needs of customers who have experienced homelessness and who may also have support needs.

The Grant & Bid Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting effective applications for funding, working with the Business & Development Manager to develop compelling cases for support, manage mid level donor opportunities, and continue accurate tracking of income.

As Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for the Huntington’s Disease Association, you will help deliver our strategic plans and objectives by generating and growing income through community fundraising activities.
