About the role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) to lead and develop our corporate new business activity, and grow our partnerships pipeline. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play an essential role in supporting our wider fundraising growth strategy, helping to expand our portfolio of partners by prioritising long-term, strategic partnerships that will help us achieve our organisational objectives.

Working closely with the Partnerships team, and cross-departmentally across the organisation, the successful candidate will play a key role in executing our new business strategy. The key duties will involve identifying leads to build a strong prospect pipeline, creating proposals and pitching to win exciting and impactful new partnerships for CoppaFeel!, as well as creating and delivering a seamless stewardship journey for newly onboarded partners. 

To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience working in corporate fundraising at a charity or in a similar position where you have been responsible for pitching for new business. You will have a proven track record of securing 5 and 6 figure partnerships. The right candidate will be someone who is proactive, with strong communication and relationship building skills, and a real desire to make a difference, ensuring that all breast cancers are diagnosed early.

This is a fixed term contract for 9 months.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

New business

  • Deliver the corporate new business strategy using your expertise to meet specific financial targets and KPI’s.
  • Create proposals and new business pitch decks for new corporate supporters
  • Lead negotiations around new partnership terms and write up various agreements and contracts
  • Research and identify prospects building a pipeline of companies to support CoppaFeel! during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and beyond.
  • Ensure that brands and companies we are working with align with CoppaFeel!’s mission and values by carrying out due diligence.
  • Research and identify suitable open charity of the year or staff fundraising opportunities working with the team to submit high quality applications
  • Identify and secure corporate sponsors for CoppaFeel! events.
  • Using your networking skills to develop relationships across key sectors
  • Communicate regularly with the Head of Partnerships and Director of Fundraising with your progress.
  • Closely collaborating with the wider Partnerships team to create engaging stewardship journeys for prospects and newly onboarded partners.
  • Develop digital and physical assets to be used for new business engagement and activity
  • Work with the Education and Marketing teams to identify strategic opportunities to work with a partner to make an impactful difference to our work.
  • Attend partner events and speak on behalf of CoppaFeel! when required, and be ‘hands on’ supporting partnership events.

Working across CoppaFeel!:

  • Support the Head of Partnerships and Director of Fundraising on the delivery of the partnerships strategy and wider fundraising strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships Managers, and wider fundraising team on relevant projects.
  • Support CoppaFeel!’s EDI strategy, to ensure our partnerships are helping us reach as many young people as possible.

Administration

  • Respond to new business enquiries that we receive through the website, our email inboxes, networking and word of mouth.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date records on our donor database and on CoppaFeel!’s shared drive.
  • Participate in CoppaFeel! fundraising and team meetings, contributing to operational plans, forecasting income, being part of positive team collaboration.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and sometimes remotely with occasional out of core hours work (time off in lieu given).

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate partnerships, business development, or sales, with a focus on securing new business.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value corporate partnerships (5 & 6 figure partnerships)
  • Strong understanding of different types of corporate partnerships within the charity sector (Charity of the Year, Cause-Related Marketing, Corporate Donations, Sponsorship etc) and experience of working on a variety of these
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with an ability to influence and persuade decision maker
  • Experience of negotiating terms of agreements
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to identify different opportunities within a project or partnership
  • Ability to create compelling and engaging partnership proposals
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Desirable

  • Experience of drafting partnership agreements and contracts
  • An understanding of/direct experience in Account Management to support with setting expectations through the new business process
  • Experience of public speaking and presenting to different groups of people, both in person and online

Main benefits, Terms & Conditions

Annual Leave: 22 days pro rata (plus public holidays). Additional Leave: 1 day of leave on our Founder’s Cancerversary, birthday leave, plus office closure over Christmas.

A hybrid of office and flexible, working Daily Flexi Time: starting anytime between 8am and 10am. Working from home up to 3 days per week (pro rata).

Training: We have a budget each year for employees training and development plans.
