Job description

Advocacy Manager at Consortium for Street Children

Do you love driving change?  Are you passionate about creating a future where the rights of street-connected children are fully realised? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

About us: Consortium for Street Children (CSC) is a small dynamic team committed to making a significant difference in the lives of children living in street situations. Our mission is to close the gap between the rights afforded to these children by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and their lived realities on the street.

About the role: As our Advocacy Manager you will work alongside our Director of Programmes, Partnership, Advocacy and Learning to advance our strategic advocacy agenda. You will have the unique opportunity to work directly with UN agencies and international structures to advocate for the rights of street-connected children, as well as to support locally-led action and accountability through training, capacity building, and technical support to CSC’s network members, especially in West Africa.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with established CSC network members in West Africa, including in Francophone West Africa, to drive change for street-connected children
  • Take lessons learnt from West Africa to the wider CSC network and build effective stakeholder relationships, including in Southeast Asia
  • Advocate for the rights of all street-connected children at international levels, including through and with the UN
  • Promote and support child-led advocacy initiatives
  • Provide training and capacity building to CSC network members

About you:

  • You are committed to human and children’s rights
  • You are a great communicator and enjoy inspiring others to deliver change
  • You are reliable and self-motivated
  • You love to collaborate and have experience creating great team dynamics
  • You have a good working knowledge of French

Why join us?

  • Make a significant impact on the lives of street-connected children around the world
  • Be part of a small, dynamic and flexible team
  • Enjoy a hybrid working pattern with our London-based office

If you are ready to drive change and help create a brighter future for street-connected children, we would love to hear from you!
