Are you a talented Trusts or Major Donor Fundraiser who wants to use your skills to support a hospice that helps people with life-limiting issues live better?

The Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract provide specialist palliative care which concentrates on quality of life and the alleviation of psychological, spiritual, physical and social symptoms.

The hospice is looking for a Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser (to cover maternity) to help them on their mission to continue and expand the excellent care they provide to their patients.

About the role:

The Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser will help the hospice achieve its ambitious funding goals to increase patient care through maximising grant and donation income from public bodies and charitable trusts. The existing trusts and grant fundraising programme currently raises c. £150,000 per annum. This really is a lovely opportunity to come in to cover the current postholder who has things in a really good place. There will be the opportunity for some crossover so you'll have a working handover.

The hospice has a really warm and supportive culture, which is led by its values. The fundraising team is no different, you'll have a warm welcome here. Alongside the Fundraising Manager and Individual Giving Fundraiser, you'll have opportunity to develop, from scratch, a mid-level appeal programme from which you can grow the major gifts programme.

About you:

You'll be a flexible and resilient team player, adept at putting together compelling cases for support and presenting complex information both verbally and in written form. Our ideal candidate will nurture relationships with existing and potential supporters, creating sustainable income from loyal donors.

Ideally, we're looking for someone with experience of trust and/or major donor fundraising or bid writing. We'd also be happy to consider candidates with transferable skills from other fundraising streams or the commercial sector.

How to apply:

If you would like to find out more about joining the wonderful team at the Prince of Wales Hospice, please get in in touch with a copy of your CV to Ellen Drummond at Charity People in the first instance.
