Charity People are partnering with a charity dedicated to supporting young Londoners facing significant barriers, they provide essential resources such as food, skills development, and career opportunities. Through partnerships with communities, schools, employers, and city leadership, they aim to improve the prospects of at least 120,000 young people by 2025. Their focus is on eradicating food insecurity and ensuring equal access to career opportunities for those from lower-income backgrounds. The charity's mission is to empower young people to thrive and shape a more inclusive, prosperous future for London.

This interim role will report to the Chief Executive. The post holder has lead responsibility for managing the charity's finance and governance, and is part of the Senior Management Team, which supports the CEO and Trustees in delivering the charity's values and objectives.

As part of the Senior Management Team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the charity's entire finance function, including producing monthly consolidated accounts, cash-flow forecasts, budgeting, and managing audits. You will also present finance papers to the board, facilitate Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee (FAR) meetings, and collaborate with the Development Team to shape budgets for funding bids.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all finance arrangements including banking, audits, payroll, and investments.
* Lead a small finance team, supporting their development and daily tasks.
* Ensure effective communication with trustees, providing the information needed for good governance.
* Support the organisation's budgeting and forecasting processes for 2025.
* Manage the year-end audit process and year-end accounts.

Essential Requirements:
* A relevant professional finance qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
* Significant experience in the charity sector, with knowledge of SORP, governance, and charity commission requirements.
* Senior management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to balance strategic and operational demands.
* Proven business acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
