Charity People are excited to be recruiting a new Database Officer to join a top health related charity based in London. The Database Officer will play a vital role within the Fundraising team, ensuring the smooth running of the department, and managing the fundraising database activity efficiently and effectively. You will be supporting the Database Manager and Senior Database Officer at a busy time.
Role responsibilities:
* Opening, sorting and scanning postal appeal returns.
* Processing appeal donations; batching cheques, processing card payments, charity vouchers and direct debits.
* Take responsibility for collection tin processing.
* Undertake record updates as required, updating data
* Import data from various sources e.g. website, WIFI Subscriptions, third party fundraising platforms
* Assist with bulk thanking, including running mail merges, and managing post
* Work with the database team to ensure that data is processed to be compliant with: Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), GDPR, Telephone Preference Services (TPS), Mailing Preference Services (MPS) & HMRC and other legislative/best practice requirements.
You will bring:
* Thorough experience of Raisers Edge/RENXT
* Income processing (charity)
* Working in collaboration with finance for reconciliations
* Use of import tools
* Generating thank you letters through CRM and mail merges
* Microsoft office skills (Outlook + Word) and thorough knowledge of Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* Understanding of data protection/GDPR
* Understanding of relevant legislation/guidelines around financial processes e.g. Direct Debit handling
