Work pattern: 28 hours per week, rota week 1: Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8am-4:30pm, Thursday 8am-12pm. Rota week 2: Monday, Saturday and Sunday 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday 8am-12pm

Responsibilities of our Rehoming and Welfare Assistant:
- Carry out cleaning of cat pens, including litter trays, in the various sections of the centre
- Feed and care for cats requiring additional medical or behavioural treatment as required. This also includes handling
- Present a professional and friendly image to customers and visitors
- As required, assist with veterinary runs, this may include driving the Cats Protection vehicle off-site
- Work with volunteers to coach and guide them on cat care duties
- Support with the scheduling and preparation of rehoming information, viewings and adoption of cats in care
About the centre team:
- Our adoption and homing centres care for thousands of cats each year until they are able to find a loving new home.
- Our team is made up of a Adoption Centre Manager, Deputy Centre Manager, Senior Rehoming and Welfare Assistants and Rehoming and Welfare Assistants.
What we’re looking for in our Rehoming and Welfare Assistant:
- A full, manual driving license is essential as some driving of centre vans is required
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience of dealing with members of the public
- Experience of animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling and a high level of understanding of how to meet welfare needs of cats
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- A positive attitude and good at working as part of a team
- An understanding of health and safety and comfortable with manual handling tasks

Responsibilities of our Deputy Adoption Centre Manager:
- Work with the Centre Manager, ensuring the required level of employee cover at all times and to provide effective cover in the absence of the Manager
- Ensure the welfare of all cats in our care and ensure that all administrative and maintenance procedures are completed to a high standard that is in keeping with our vision.
- To plan and direct the activities of the cat care employees in agreement with the Centre Manager
- To handle the homing and accepting of cats and kittens and ensure completion of the necessary forms and ensure minimum veterinary standards are carried out by a suitably qualified person.

- Our team is made up of a Centre Manager, Deputy Centre Managers, Receptionists, Senior Rehoming and Welfare Assistant, Rehoming and Welfare Assistants and a Volunteer Team Leader
What we’re looking for in our Deputy Adoption Centre Manager:
- Supervisor/team leader experience, ideally within an animal welfare environment or organisation
- A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the prevention and control of infectious diseases in cats
- A driven, positive and enthusiastic individual with plenty of initiative and the ability to thrive under pressure
- A full UK, manual or automatic driving licence as you may on occasion be required to drive centre vans

Location: Hybrid, covering Wales and the West Midlands with frequent travel
Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: Up to £34,210.37 per year

Responsibilities of our Lifeline Manager:
- leadership and line management of the Lifeline Caseworkers, including managing performance and settling objectives via probationary review and annual
appraisals - responsible for recruiting and managing the project volunteers as well as promoting and developing the service
- oversee the referrals coming into the service and arrange the safe transportation and collection of cats
- build and develop partnerships with local domestic abuse services and relevant organisations
- be responsible for the promotion, development and monitoring of the service across Wales and West Midlands
About the Lifeline team:
- Lifeline is a pet fostering service for anyone fleeing domestic abuse
- the majority of our referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services
- the service places cats into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners can be reunited with them
- the team consists of a Lifeline Manager and Lifeline Caseworkers part of a wider UK team
What we’re looking for in our Lifeline Manager:
- a full, valid driving licence and comfortable driving a van
- experience of supporting people experiencing domestic abuse working with or on behalf of
adults/families in a support role - volunteer management including recruitment, managing and supporting volunteers
- ability to deal with sensitive situations and cope under pressure in an appropriate manner
- strong organisational skills and able to prioritise and manage workload
- understanding of cat care and cat welfare issues
- confident with Microsoft Office programmes
