Team: Community Fundraising
Location: Midlands (Covering Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire & Birmingham)
Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working for events
Salary: Up to £30,058 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities of our Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader:
- To recruit, develop, retain and support a diverse team of volunteers to enhance community fundraising activities and income generating opportunities.
- To lead on the promotion and coordination of volunteer activities within a community fundraising hub working collaboratively with the Community Fundraising Officers to drive income generation within the local vicinity.
- To provide practical, role specific and pastoral support for community fundraising volunteers adopting an exemplary approach to volunteer management and volunteer engagement.
- To ensure our dedicated volunteers have excellent experiences and have the skill, resources and motivation to maximize income generating opportunities.
About the Community Fundraising team:
- We sit within the Community Events team
- Our team is responsible for leading and supporting community activities to drive and grow our community fundraised income.
- We currently have a team of over 30
What we’re looking for in our Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader:
- Evidence of raising funds in a community fundraising environment
- Good experience in volunteer management/ supervision
- Experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Direct experience of working with volunteers
- Experience in Community Fundraising
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Location: Covering both our Glasgow and Scotland Cat Centre sites
Work pattern: 35 hours per week to include weekends
Salary: Up to £24,055.33 per year
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities of our Senior Rehoming and Welfare Assistant:
- Carry out cleaning of cat pens, including litter trays, in the various sections of the centre
- Feed and care for cats requiring additional medical or behavioural treatment as required. This also includes handling
- Present a professional and friendly image to customers and visitors
- As required, assist with veterinary runs, this may include driving the Cats Protection vehicle off-site
- Support the Centre and Deputy Manager in the day to day running of the Centre and supervision of employees
- Provide support and supervision to volunteers to coach and guide them on cat care duties
- Support with the scheduling and preparation of rehoming information, viewings and adoption of cats in care
About the centre team:
- Our adoption and homing centres care for thousands of cats each year until they are able to find a loving new home.
- Our team is made up of an Adoption Centre Manager, Deputy Adoption Centre Managers, Senior Rehoming and Welfare Assistants, Volunteer Team Leader, Rehoming and Welfare Assistants and a Receptionist
What we’re looking for in our Senior Rehoming and Welfare Assistant:
- A full, manual driving license is essential as some driving of centre vans is required
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and experience of dealing with members of the public
- Experience of animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling and a high level of understanding of how to meet welfare needs of cats
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- A positive attitude and good at working as part of a team
- Team leader or supervisory experience
- An understanding of health and safety and comfortable with manual handling tasks
