Young Carer Engagement Officer

The Young Carer Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in taking our young carers work in education and employment to the next level in Wales as we strive to ensure a fair future for young carers and young adult carers. As well as supporting our work in education and employment, the postholder will support the development and facilitation of the Youth Council. The Young Carers Engagement Officer will engage with a wide range of people including Wales and UK-wide Carers Trust teams, local network partners, third sector organisations, schools and learning organisations, education professionals and young carers. You will work to ensure that young carers’ voices are heard and promoted, and become and expert in the key issues facing young carers, young adult carers and the local carer organisations that support them in Wales.
