About the Role

The Head of Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for identifying and developing strategic business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that will drive DCCT’s growth and financial sustainability. This role involves a deep understanding of the sector, industry trends, and competitive landscape to shape the organisation's long-term strategic direction.

The Head of Fundraising, Communication and Marketing role will line manage the Events and Projects, Fundraising & Partnerships and Marketing & Communications departments to drive growth and seek new opportunities and a range of activities/opportunities for Derby County Community Trust.

About the role

The Senior Projects Officer (Accreditation) will play a crucial role in working alongside the Strategic Projects Manager (Accreditation) and the Associate Dean (Quality Assurance & Accreditation) to ensure effective implementation and coordination of the faculty’s accreditation function.

The role involves working alongside multiple functions and stakeholders in the faculty (business operations, alumni, careers, and external engagement) on multiple and varied activities, including collation of data for annual report submissions, overseeing, and servicing the Accreditation Steering Group, supporting accreditation visits, and providing accreditation project support across the Business School. You will represent the Business School at relevant events, gain training in a wide variety of Quality Assurance and Accreditation processes and will contribute to coordinating additional projects across other faculty functions.

The ideal applicant will be confident at gathering, collating, and presenting quantitative data in different formats, coordinating multiple and competing projects, and be confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to deliver a quality project coordination function.

As the leading specialist mental health charity for women who have experienced domestic abuse, Woman’s Trust’s mission is to help survivors to overcome the devastating mental health impact of Domestic Abuse.

This is a pivotal time to join our dynamic Fundraising team as we work towards our strategy. As our Senior Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager, you will manage existing and develop new funder and partner relationships across trusts and foundations, and other donors, to ensure we can meet the needs of the increasing number of women we support across London and build on our systems influencing work nationally.

The charity, established almost thirty years ago to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.04m and 41 staff in 2023/24. Responsibilities

Raising the profile of the Foundation by implementing an imaginative and inspiring programme in Marketing and Communications under the direction of the Head of Business Development.

Work with Head of Grants and Programmes to plan and timetable promotion of new grants programmes and regular promotion of ongoing programmes. Working at times with external marketing and comms teams to agree key messaging.

Compile and share a range of inspiring donor, charity and community stories and case studies which bring to life the Foundation’s impact.

Support, maintain and update the Foundation’s website, ensuring that it is inspiring, engaging and up to date with content. Help set up and access additional platforms as required e.g. online donations, raffles, other Trusts who are contracted to the Foundation.

Develop the Foundation’s wider digital presence through social media and use of content marketing to raise awareness of the Foundation’s expertise, share good news stories and promote available funding e.g. through regular charity and business newsletters.

Under the guidance and leadership of the Head of BD and CEO provide specific public relations support, including preparing press releases and producing articles for local magazines and relevant publications.

Maintain a library of relevant and up to date marketing materials, photographs illustrating the Foundation’s work and partnership logos and guidance for use. Manage permissions and GDPR for all communications work and marketing collateral.

Attend UK Community Foundations (UKCF) Marcomms meetings.

Work with the CEO to prepare and manage quarterly Board meetings for Foundation and as required other partners (incl JCT) at an executive admin level.

Preparing for meetings: prep of papers, managing dates and availability; minute taking and general administration for Board level members under clear and strict requirements around confidentiality.

Regular updating of requirements of Board incl: EDI data and references; annual Conflict of Interest; DBS and other requirements.

Supporting Chair of Trustee in their role as required and in an administrative support.

Support general office administration such as maintenance of equipment inventories and training records and PAT testing schedules and others task to ensure smooth running of the main office.

Organize events to showcase the Foundation’s work, including functions for donors, potential donors, community and voluntary groups.

Support the Head of Business development to identified campaigns and additional programmes to grow the Foundations reach. Work with Head of BD to write creative briefs and to shape to recruit additional capacity as required.

Work as an effective Ambassador for the Foundation always, including at events and external networking.

Represent the Foundation on agreed marketing and Comms networks incl UKCF and others to be agreed.

Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that the Foundation achieves excellence in grant-making and all its operational aspects.

Represent the Foundation externally as required.

Use computer equipment and software for administrative and communication duties including Canva, new website CMS, Microsoft Office, online communications, and the Salesforce Database.

Carry out other associated duties, which may arise, develop, or be assigned, in line with the scale and general nature of the post.

Your role

The business development team aims to expand Contact’s reach to parent carers and practitioners by exploring opportunities for new projects, partnerships, commissions and paid for content including webinars, workshops and training. We also work with forums to offer support on areas not covered by their grant​. We expand our reach and support offer alongside of funded programmes.​ We aim to increase organisational sustainability by generating income and contributing to core organisational costs.

The Business Development Co-ordinator reports to the Business Development Operations Manager and is the linchpin for our business development programmes.  You will be responsible for setting up events online and face to face, contacting trainers, taking bookings and supporting with promotion; making sure the support and content made available to families is kept up to date. The role also involves updating our CRM database, making sure invoices are raised and paid and collating information for reports from the database or Excel.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has excellent IT and digital skills, ideally with experience of online event systems such as Eventbrite and Zoom, a good knowledge of Excel and experience using a CRM database. You’ll need to be highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly, confident phone manner and a good knowledge of the issues and concerns families with disabled children face.

Duchenne UK is an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012. 

DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this. 

Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD.  We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. And we’re here to support every family affected and ensure that they receive the best possible care. We aim not only to improve quality of life but stop the disease in its tracks. We’re doing it faster too, because this generation of patients can’t wait.

Alex and Emily were awarded OBEs in The King’s Birthday Honours List in 2023 in recognition of their services to charity and to people living with DMD. They, and the dedicated and effective team they have built at Duchenne UK, are now at the forefront of this work in the UK.

We have a new opportunity to join our team and build on these achievements. We are recruiting for a Director of Income Generation, who will be a key part of our senior leadership team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.

The Director of Income Generation will work collaboratively across the organisation to oversee and grow all of Duchenne UK’s income streams including fundraising, commercial engagement, and new business opportunities.

The Director of Income Generation will report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership team, working closely alongside the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance.

About the role

At a strategic level this role is responsible for leading on all aspects of income, including fundraising, commercial engagement, and new business opportunities, leading the development and delivery of a bold and effective income strategy to support our organisational ambitions and future sustainability.

The Director of Income Generation will inspire and develop the charity’s income team, taking overall responsibility for setting and achieving income targets for the organisation. They will ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to income generation across the organisation.

The Director of Income Generation will report to the CEO and be part of the Senior Leadership team, working closely alongside the Managing Director, Finance Director and Director of Research and Development.  They will line manage a team to support the delivery of the income strategy.

Job Description

Income Generation

• Aligned to the organisational strategy, designing and delivering Duchenne UK’s income generation strategy, establishing a delivery plan to hit targets across a diverse range of income streams, including community fundraising, events, trusts and foundations, major donors, research and development grants and commercial income.
• Oversee the process and systems of managing funders and new business opportunities, including overseeing the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) to support a high end and holistic approach to the account management of funders and stakeholders.
• Set, monitor and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.
• Attend meetings with funders and prospects, and networking events to uncover new opportunities, including management of Duchenne UK’s Development Board.
• Developing and growing the income pipeline, working closely with the Research and Development team to identify funding for existing and pipeline projects.
• Support the team to develop professional and engaging materials including fundraising proposition, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches and reports.
• Proactively seek-out and identify new trends and developments and make recommendations to Duchenne UK.
• Oversee reporting to ensure the preparation and timely submission of reports on progress on objectives, budgets and targets.

• Provide strategic insight and vision both externally and internally as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for an individual with an intelligence background who has a passion for preventing modern slavery and human trafficking (MSHT), creating and delivering intelligence products, has human rights, ESG, and/or financial crime knowledge. Our prevention program team also regularly interacts with individuals at high risk of being trafficked and therefore robust safeguarding is essential.

Our Intelligence Team research and produce our Exploitation Analytics service – a suite of reports containing actionable insight that our clients utilise to find potential bad actors operating within their transaction monitoring systems. We also offer a Business Resilience package to help companies mitigate the risk of potential exploitation within supply chains and operations through intelligence sharing and practical guidance.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who will build partner and client relationships, develop our current team members, and continue to innovate our offering to better prevent and disrupt human trafficking.

Responsibilities:

• Leading our work to develop strategic and tactical insights that will enable a spectrum of actors (business, banks, law enforcement) to prevent MSHT. This may include safeguarding potential victims or victims.
• Providing expertise to support our team of managers who deliver the above reporting and consulting to commercial organisations.
• Effectively pitching our products and services to secure new clients and increase our impact.
• Nurturing and developing existing commercial relationships and collaborations.
• Ability to manage and set targets, and report on progress regularly.
• Developing new offerings that increase the effectiveness and impact of our work, turning intelligence into relevant actionable insight for commercial clients.
• Supporting our internal MEL lead to document and evidence the impact of our intelligence services.
• Participating in public-facing events to promote STOP THE TRAFFIK and engage different audiences in this fight.
• Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team and Executive Team to strategically develop our organisation and drive sustainable growth.
• Direct line management and leadership of Intelligence Managers.
• Promoting collaborations across all teams in an agile manner.

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. The post holder's duties will primarily focus on providing capacity building support to third sector organisations alongside organising events, undertaking community outreach, building and maintaining relationships and networks, writing reports based on analysis and research, and engaging with clients and project stakeholders to prepare bids and deliver new work. 

Main Duties:

• Plan and manage projects to ensure activities are delivered effectively to timescale and budget

Key Terms 

• Salary Range: £27,500-£38,000 (FTE), depending on experience 

• Negotiable full or part time hours – (minimum of 0.6 FTE). The role is open to compressed working in accordance with the needs of the job 

• Home and remote working with one day or more per week at a shared office

• Some travel required within London and England which may include overnight stays according to the needs of contracts (anticipated travel days 2-3 days per month)

Overall purpose

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

You will be:

• a creative and strategic thinker who doesn’t feel bound by traditional approaches to charity / corporate relationships,
• a keen collaborator, working closely with colleagues in our Services directorate to deliver high impact employability programmes for our refugee clients, and with the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Public Engagement to identify and drive cross-fundraising opportunities,
• an outstanding communicator, comfortable and confident in your ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the worlds of CSR, DEI and employability, and across the private, public, and third sectors representing Breaking Barriers at a senior level.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

Lady Margaret Hall is seeking a motivated, confident and passionate Donor Relations Officer to join the Development Team and ensure we deliver excellent stewardship to our donors.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. Hours and days are negotiable. The Development Team are hybrid working with three days per week based in the office. The position includes some out of hours work for event attendance for which TOIL will be given.
