Community Accountant

Barnsley CVS is in an exciting phase of growth and development and are looking to expand their Community Accountancy team. We are seeking highly qualified and experienced individuals with a great attention to detail to provide accountancy support to community and charity organisations in Barnsley.  You will joining a passionate team of people who are in the job to bring meaningful support and development to charities in Barnsley.  The job you do will help charities manage their finances allowing them to have confidence in the work they do.  Those we support range from charities supporting people with Dementia, young people embracing music, food banks, those recovering from sexual violence and many many more.  You will have a varied case load and have the opportunity to experience a variety of financial accounts. 

This role reports to the Head of Community Accountancy and will provide a range of finance services such as bookkeeping, year end accounts services, maintaining financial records using QuickBooks accounting software, bank reconciliation and producing management reports/information as required.

You will need a proven track record of working with accounts; demonstrate that you are approachable and trustworthy; and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and can keep accurate written records.
