We are looking for an experienced and driven fundraiser to raise new income for our Charity.

The Empowerment Group supports individuals aged 14+ of Black heritage in the UK, facing mental health challenges through online therapy.

The Role:

You will hold lead responsibility for the charity’s new business opportunities and income generation, ensuring the development opportunities are effectively maximised.

As Fundraising Officer your responsibility would primarily be to identify and complete tenders for contracts suited to the work of our organisation both locally and nationally. Your responsibility would also include identifying and completing trust funding applications to Trust funders. You would be responsible for developing fundraising programs/products, recruiting individual and corporate sponsors and encouraging support through promotional activities.

Key duties include:

• Develop the business fundraising strategy to include methods on how to engage potential donors, including single events and detailed campaigns
• Identifying contracting opportunities and funders where our work aligns
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential bid partners and funders
• Writing contract tenders and bid proposals
• Develop, organise, and deliver fundraising events where applicable
• Research potential individual and corporate donors
• Assist in planning and coordinating events to raise income and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and execution
• Maintain complete records of funders and manage regular funder communications including project reports

About you:

You will be an experienced fundraiser who can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have extensive experience in contracts and tendering with local councils and government where the majority of opportunities will arise.

Your knowledge, skills, and experience will include:

• Demonstrable track record as a successful fundraiser and business development professional in the charitable sector.
• Knowledge of the charitable sector, funders, council and government contracts.
• Understanding of the experiences of people who live with significant mental distress and the impact of trauma, racism and discrimination on mental health.

Parentkind is a national charity working with more than 23,500 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs), Parent Councils and Schools. We are the voice of parents in policy making.

• Working to ensure progress is being made to improve the safety of maternity and neonatal services, so that everyone can benefit from best-practice care.

The Data and Evidence Lead is key to helping the policy unit achieve this. You will analyse a range of public data sets and research findings to track progress on governments’ ambitions to reduce the number of babies dying, assess the impact of key initiatives, and identify any gaps. 

We are looking for someone who has considerable experience of data analysis, including the selection and application of research and evaluation methods. You will be a great communicator with the ability to translate insights into clear messages for different audiences (e.g. policymakers, stakeholders, supporters and the public). 

Experience of leading and managing projects of different sizes and complexity is essential for this role, as is a clear understanding of the relationship between research, evidence, policy and practice. 

Additionally, you will need to have a good understanding of the current policy environment as it relates to reducing baby loss, as well as enthusiasm for continued learning and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Digital Communications Coordinator, you’ll be delivering our digital communication strategy by coordinating the organisation's creative digital content and analysing the impact of our digital communications to increase our impact as a campaigning organisation.

We are looking for someone who can create digital content, implement new and creative approaches to digital communications and analyse impact.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the development and delivery of impactful digital communications plans for work across River Action’s Campaigns, Communities, Legal and Fundraising teams. 

• Working with colleagues across the organisation to gather content including data and images for digital communications.

• Writing highly engaging, evidence-based and tactically astute content for digital communications.

• Designing digital communications materials using graphics software, videos and photography, adjusting format, style and medium for different platforms and audiences.

• Working closely with River Action's Media coordinator, to deliver reactive responses to real-time news stories and press releases.

• Collaborate with community activists and groups in gathering new video, audio, photographic and written content for digital communications.

• Posting and coordinating social media streams across all platforms (River Action’s prime channels are Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Linkedin).

About the role
 

After a significant period of growth we are now looking to hire a Virtual Challenges Manager. The successful candidate will play an important role in managing relationships with our charity partners as well as the performance and development of our moderators.

We currently have a team of 30 Moderators and Team Leaders (self employed contractors) who work across a wide range of Social Fundraising Challenges. During peak times we can support up to 25 events in any one month.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of our team of talented moderators by monitoring their KPIs and performance, developing and implementing training, and taking an active role in the recruitment of new starters. 

You will manage a portfolio of charity partner accounts to provide the best possible service and support, to maximise income generation and ensure challenges run to an exceptional standard.

You will also line manage our Virtual Challenges Officer, and work closely with them to ensure the smooth running of our events.
 

You will be expected to live our values and work together with our senior leadership team to support with the growth and evolution of Social AF as the go-to moderation agency for the third sector. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' fundraising experience and a minimum of 12 months’ experience of running a Facebook Challenge or Social Fundraising Portfolio.

The project is to meet and hear from people who have been in mental health hospitals. We will be finding out about what went well and what could have been better.

We want to make sure that our information, conversations and activities are easy to understand for people with a learning disability. You’ll be helping us to get it right.

Sometimes you will be helping us write questions, sometimes you will be meeting people in hospital to find out about their experience. Sometimes you might come to workshops to help us run them well. We also want your help to think about what people tell us. You will help us tell people what we have found out in a way that is easy to understand.

We really want to hear from some people who don’t often get the chance to say what they think. We will be meeting with some people to do workshops and activities. We will be meeting other people online. You can work with us to help us make this interesting and easy to understand for people with a learning disability.

The work time is not fixed for this job and working days will change across the month. The person will be paid for half a day each week. This will mean that the person might work a full day one week and not work the next week, but that payment will always be the same at the end of each month. We will agree working days and time with the person.

• To represent Neurodiverse Connection nationally, regionally and locally and tell people about the work that we do.
• To work alongside the Neurodiverse Connection team to do high quality work.
• Travel nationally and especially within the areas of Bristol, North Somerset, North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire is an important part of this job.

World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care. The International department is responsible for implementing the charity’s strategy in developing countries and aims to improve the welfare of as many working equids as possible.

We are seeking a project manager to join our International team to manage funds, budgets and accounts and become familiar with the working of local administration and legal requirements relating to partner organisations.  This is not a role that is hands-on with Equids, you will be working with people who rely on them for their livelihoods in the community-based projects that underpin the charity’s presence in lower middle-income countries.

If you are a qualified Veterinarian this would be advantageous but not essential, as the focus of this role is Veterinary and Equid Welfare; ensuring that all practices by anyone associated with the programme are of an acceptable quality in terms of welfare and accepted professional  veterinary standards.  Working with Veterinary specialists you will co-ordinate all veterinary perspective discussions on interventions to address equine welfare across the programme. You will stay informed on current practices, related to Welfare and Veterinary intervention in terms of other organisations and institutions (including other welfare NGOs, Governments, or institutions such as WOAH) and represent World Horse Welfare in meetings, conferences, seminars and consultations concerning equine welfare.

Although UK based you will be required to travel internationally at least four times per year. This role is suitable for remote working, however, there is an expectation for attendance at our head office in Norfolk throughout the year and this will be at your own expense for travel and accommodation.

We are seeking a DDN individual to become our next Marketing and Communications lead.

About TripleC
TripleC is a BAFTA award-winning, disabled-led Community Interest Company that champions the inclusion of deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent (DDN) people across the arts and screen sectors.  TripleC is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.

Our mission is to drive up the role of DDN people in the arts and screen industries and the role the arts, screen and creativity in the lives of DDN people, changing the lives of DDN people for the better. We’re disabled led at all levels of the organisation – from our Board, through our Senior Leadership Team, our staff, our access leads, and our intersectional focus groups. We work across the whole of the UK to effect change, collaborating with the major broadcasters, production houses, theatres and arts organisations.

About the role

The core purpose of the role is to ensure that TripleC’s output (whether on social media, on our website, in our marketing materials etc) is attractive and accessible for DDN people with a range of access requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong creative flair and a passion for digital and storytelling alongside proven expertise in marketing and communications.

The Marketing and Communications Lead plays a crucial role in supporting TripleC’s engagement with:

• Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent (DDN) creatives including professionals who work in the arts and screen industries, and DDN young people and adults in the community;
• Our audiences (at webinars, masterclasses, workshops, live in-person events);
• Our industry stakeholders (eg theatres, broadcasters, producers, arts organisations);
• Our funders (eg Arts Council England, National Lottery, ScreenSkills); and
• The press and media.

Essential criteria

• Commitment to TripleC’s mission to drive up the role of DDN people in the arts and screen industries and the role of the arts and screen in the lives of DDN people.
• Understanding of and belief in the inclusion of all staff and stakeholders irrespective of race, gender, sexuality, age, access requirements, economic background, or lived experience.
• Professional experience in/knowledge of Marketing and Communications.
• Excellent communication skills to create compelling, creative and persuasive communications.
• Previous knowledge of/skillsets in content creation for a company or organisation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and take responsibility for own workload, handle multiple priorities, and delegate workloads and workflows to others.
• Excellent IT skills including use of Google Drive/Docs, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of/skillset in creative project software/platforms such as Canva 
• Solution focused.

Terms
This is a permanent, employed (PAYE) role. 
The core contract is for 3 days per week (22.5 hours). We also offer paid overtime from time to time by mutual consent. 
There will be a probationary period of 3 months.
Salary: pro rata 3 days a week (22.5 hours) £25,740 (£42,900 full time equivalent)
