Salary: £27,000-£34,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid, 2 days per week in Acorns Head Office, Wythall

We have a great role for a Philanthropy Officer working with Acorns Children’s Hospice, reporting to the Philanthropy Manager. Acorns Children’s Hospice operates three hospices in the West Midlands, offering specialist palliative care and support for children and their families
In this role you’ll work directly with the Philanthropy Manager to build and maintain relationships with high-value donors, as well as conducting research to identify new prospective donors. You’ll also work with other high-value teams such as Trusts & Foundations and Corporate Partnerships to create high-level networking, engagement and fundraising events.
To be successful as the Philanthropy Officer you will need:
- Experience of fundraising in the charity sector, preferably within philanthropy, corporate partnerships or other relationship fundraising.
- Strong relationship-building skills, and an understanding of how major donor relationships are developed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create compelling and tailored cases for support.
