No one can describe the difference Age UK makes as well as the people whose lives we have touched, and in many cases changed forever. This is a fast-paced and varied role with no two days being the same. working across multiple channels and campaigns. The post holder may one day interview an older person to capture their story, the next be attending a film shoot, all whilst ensuring the storytellers welfare remains our highest priority.

This fantastic opportunity offers hybrid and flexible working between home and our London office near Tower Hill. Currently the team meet typically once a week in the London office.
Your travel costs to the London office are not covered. This role will also require regular travel around the country, to our Network Partners and Storytellers - travel costs to these locations will be covered by Age UK.

Must haves:
* Experience of identifying, onboarding, and stewarding storyteller
* Experience conducting major interviews.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Line management experience.
* Experience of working cross-team and cross-department, adapting to various working styles and adapting working style accordingly.
* Good organisational and planning skills, whether with overall projects or managing your own workload/that of the team in the face of competing requests.
* Experience using databases and maintaining accurate records of information.
* Experience inputting into, working with, and adhering to consent processes.
Great to haves:
* Training as a journalist would be helpful, not just to develop interesting stories, but to identify how these stories can be used to maximise their impact.
* Experience of working directly with vulnerable adults and of managing ethical protocols.
* Ability to understand and manage ethical issues sensitively and make appropriate judgements in the context of your work

Age UK are recruiting for a Retail Support Administrator with exceptional customer service skills to join their busy Retail Help Desk team based in Warrington. In this role you will offer specific administrative and operational support to a Divisional Sales Team and provide first line support through the Customer Services Helpline. Thus, playing your part in supporting the Retail Division in generating much needed income to help Age UK in its mission to improve the lives of older people.
This unique opportunity to be part of a Divisional Team consisting of Area Managers and covering a wide geographical base from your operating desk in Warrington will not only support the Division, but also the national charities 265 shops alongside your fellow Retail Support Administrators.
No two days will be the same, whether it be receiving inbound calls and emails or customer enquiries. A vital element of the role will be processing all stock donation calls that the Help Desk receives, and then contacting the relevant field staff for a final action plan. Your support in all aspects of customer and shop enquiries will be crucial to the Divisional Sales Manager to ensure the Division's administrative operations are run efficiently and cost effectively.
This opportunity will require you to have strong IT skills, especially Excel and the ability to collate accurate information from a variety of sources to supply to the Retail Division.
This role is based at the Warrington office.
Must haves:
- Office based experience working within an administrative environment or supporting a retail estate.
- Ability to work with range of peer groups within the organisation to include volunteers, staff and senior managers.
- Empathic approach to customer service/signposting
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft365 and Windows 10 applications, particularly Excel, MS Teams & Outlook.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Great to haves:
- Knowledge of logistical requirements that service a multi-site retail organisation, preferably system based

Age International are recruiting for a part-time Board & Executive Support Officer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an aptitude for stakeholder management and organisational relationships, as you will support the CEO, Board and wider team, as well as liaising with colleagues within Age UK, HelpAge International and the Disasters Emergency Committee.
As Board & Executive Support Officer, you will work closely with the CEO to enable good governance and effective Board meetings, liaising with the Chair and Trustees between meetings to support them in their oversight roles, ensuring reviews of organisational policies, and timely communications.
This role involves providing administrative support to the CEO specifically (e.g. diary management), alongside logistical assistance for the CEO and wider team (e.g. arranging international travel and meetings).
You will act as a focal point for co-ordination across Age International, providing flexible support on a wide range of projects, so experience of project management, a proactive approach, the ability to take the initiative confidently and deliver to tight deadlines are important.
This is a part-time (17.5 hours weekly) hybrid opportunity, a blend of both home and office-based working. Salary advertised is full time equivalent.
Must haves:
- Administrative experience: minute taking, diary management, maintenance of online files and company records, administrative and travel support to a team.
- Project management experience, including organising events.
- The ability to use current office technology including MS Teams, Board software and associated communication tools.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Confidence working across departments, good stakeholder management and a collaborative approach to building working relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
- The ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines, including using judgement to deal with urgent or sensitive situations, without direct supervision.
- Ability to work with discretion on confidential matters.
- A proactive and positive approach, with the confidence to take the initiative coupled with discernment about when to seek guidance and direction.
- Aptitude for co-ordination across a range of different work-streams
Great to haves:
- A good understanding of charity governance along with experience using BoardEffect or a similar Board software platform
- Experience in, or knowledge of, the international development or wider charitable sector, especially in relation to older people.
