Dementia Support Volunteer
Every three minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with dementia. You can help us change that story, offering those living with dementia the care, connection, and support they need for a better quality of life.

About Us
At Age UK East Grinstead & District, have been committed to improving the lives of older people for the last 74 years. We want our so older people to love later life and give respite for heir carers. At the Glen Vue Centre, we provide a warm and welcoming "home from home" environment where we run a variety of activities and services tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of our members.

Main Duties
- Meet and greet members and carers with a warm smile, help them feel at ease, and provide one-on-one support when needed.
- Engage members in conversation and help them take part in activities that stimulate the mind and spirit.
- Sit with members during lunch, encouraging conversation, and assist in clearing tables after meals.
- Offer emotional support, listen attentively to concerns, and report any issues to the activities coordinator.
- Help our activities coordinator set up for the day and ensure the space is ready for a range of enriching activities.

Training & Support
You’ll receive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in your role. We will be there to guide you every step of the way.
