About the role:
This is an exciting role that requires a mixture of skills in relation to learning and development. The role is varied and will involve delivery, design and management of learning to support staff and volunteers within Victim Support. As the face of learning and development within the organisation you will build positive relationships, promote learning and act in an advisory capacity when it comes to development.
You will;
- Deliver and design face to face and virtual training for our volunteers, staff and partners. There is an expectation that you will deliver 4 days per week, with 1 days administration work and time allocated for design projects.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts and senior staff within Victim Support on learning projects within the organisation.
- Create accurate delegate reports and take appropriate action to address any identified under-performance.
- Deliver high quality presentations and learning interventions with a focus on evaluation and continuous improvement.
- It is essential to be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing and conflicting demands in an organised and effective manner.
- The post is for 37.5 hours per week and a degree of flexibility is necessary.
- This role will work from home but will have moderate travel nationally across the organisation.

Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for a Assistant Support and Outreach Worker to support the direct the direct delivery of services to individuals participating in Big Issue enterprises, including selling the Big Issue magazine. The core of the role is facilitating access for members of our vendors and potential vendors to the Hand Up Service and other local services, resources and networks required to address the barriers they are facing to moving forwards out of poverty. You will also play a key supporting role to the Support and Outreach Workers in the North East Team.
This is a self-starter role in which you’ll be responsible for connecting with potential service users within the community, introducing the service to them, sharing information from our Hand Up plus services and supporting them to engage with the core Hand Up service. You’ll be working within a small team of Outreach workers and will work to maintain a set of Service Standards which help maintain the quality of the service nationally.
The role is highly flexible and no two days are the same. You’ll bring your own experience and knowledge to the role which will be vital in supporting our vendors. We will support you to build on that through an ongoing training and development programme which aims to ensure all Hand Up Service Team members have up to date, relevant, knowledge in key areas including housing, benefits, debt, immigration and more. In the course of a day, you’ll usually be working with service users across multiple of these issues and supporting engagement with a wide range of external agencies such as health services, local authorities, charities and more, to get access to services for those you are supporting.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be:
- Undertake phone and in person outreach to introduce the Hand Up service to our vendors.
- Join meetings with Vendors and Outreach Workers to support with action planning and provision of support and guidance
- Support the local Hand Up Service to build current knowledge of local and national agencies that can support our vendors
- Support the organisation and delivery with our Vendors of 1-2-1 and group training sessions and drop-ins
- Ensure that your work meets service standards and targets and complete surveys with vendors as required
- Adhere to all required policies and procedures including with regards to safeguarding, lone and safe working, case work management and expenses and finances
- Undertake any other duties as required by your manager (within reasonable expectations)
You need to be:
- Passionate about and committed to supporting those living in poverty
- Confident communicator face to face and on the phone with ability to convey information clearly
- Able to build rapport with diverse individuals from the outreach community
- Knowledge and understanding of the challenges and inequalities that individuals facing poverty face and may face in the UK.
- Excellent time management and very organised, with the ability to complete tasks by agreed deadlines
- Good data entry skills
- Able to represent the organisation to other professionals and partner agencies
- Able to work with individuals in both one to one and group formats
- Able to follow guidelines and work within policies, seeking support from line manager as needed
- Willing to work in flexible locations including our community office, as well as visiting vendors at pitches and attending community meetings. This role is not suitable for home- based working.
Desirable:
- The ability to speak Romanian and/or Romani
- Knowledge and understanding of the Roma community in the region.

About the Role
As a trusted business partner with a strategic outlook, you'll proactively and pragmatically advise and engage with internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal issues, as well as collaborate dynamically and effectively across Save the Children International (the international programming arm of Save the Children) and with other members of the Save the Children global movement.
You will provide first-class legal advice to SCUK and its subsidiaries in respect of their UK and international programmes; policy, advocacy and campaigns work; and fundraising, retail and marketing activities, modelling professionalism, pragmatism, excellence and integrity in doing so.
You will support the effective delivery of cross-organisational risk, compliance and governance programmes, ensuring that key legal and regulatory risks are managed, whilst promoting a culture of shared responsibility for addressing legal and compliance risks throughout the work of SCUK.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice to SCUK's UK Impact, Global Programmes, Fundraising, and Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns Teams, in particular; grant and consortium agreements, donation and commercial participator agreements and arrangements with corporate partners, commercial contracts, including fundraising, professional services, media and IP/IT agreements.
- Advise SCUK staff on a wide range of legal issues and risks arising from SCUK's operations, including in relation to; charity fundraising laws and charity governance; fundraising and marketing communications and events; grant agreements and donor due diligence requests; marketing, advertising, media and defamation matters; and data protection, intellectual property and employment issues.
- Provide legal and governance support to SCUK's subsidiaries and affiliated entities.
- Support with litigation and disputes in the UK and internationally, including managing minor disputes and instructing external lawyers where appropriate.
- Provide advice to senior stakeholders within the organisation, including on legal risk and governance-related matters.
- Develop, advise on, promote, implement and maintain policies, practices and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, good corporate governance and the effective management of legal risk.
About you

The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Energy Advice Delivery: Provide comprehensive energy advice by phone, in person, and at community events, ensuring clients understand their options for managing energy use and reducing costs.
- Income Maximisation: Carry out benefit checks and debt assessments to help clients increase their income and better manage their finances.
- Holistic Support: Explore clients’ situations thoroughly, signposting and referring them to other relevant services for additional support as needed.
- Energy Savings Solutions: Offer advice on energy-saving measures, including insulation, and link clients to available savings programs.
- Community Engagement: Attend and deliver advice at community events, raising awareness of energy-saving options and supporting vulnerable individuals.

The Wise Group and St Giles came together a few years ago to form a partnership with the aim of supporting the Probation Resettlement reforms by offering a high-quality service underpinned by staff who have lived experience and cultural competency. To date we have been awarded more than 20 contracts to deliver Personal Wellbeing, Finance, Benefit & Debt and Women’s Services across England and Wales.
About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved, and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users. You will deliver a range of interventions to service users, including group work sessions where required, and work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of prescribed locations across a wide geographical area.
We will also rely on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies including Probation, Prisons and partners, and work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards. Using agreed CRM databases, recording all activity relating to caseload and ensuring all information is recorded within agreed deadlines are all also vital aspects of the role.
What we are looking for
- Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
- L3 qualification in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
- A sound knowledge of the requirements of managing a caseload
- An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
- The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
- Impressive interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written
- A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

The Student Voice Facilitator will work within the Student Voice team to develop and deliver innovative representation practices, ensuring our members can exercise their student voice and influence university decision-making. This will be focused on Student Futures, a large-scale transformation portfolio King’s College London is undertaking. Student Futures aims to improve student experiences in key areas across the next three years. These areas include improving core processes and systems for education delivery; ensuring the university is able to provide proactive and personalised support for student wellbeing; and delivering a distinct, valuable extraand co-curricular student experience. At times, the post-holder will also be required to support other King’s Transformation Office programmes, such as Campus Futures, which is overseeing the development of King’s campus spaces and facilities in the next few years. This role is funded for the next three years, the planned timeline of the Student Futures portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
FACILITATING QUALITY REPRESENTATION PRACTICES:
- Facilitate representation practices within Student Futures, both in person and online, in line with KCLSU’s Student Voice Partnership Agreement and Student Voice Design Framework;
- Lead on development of innovative facilitation methods to foster collaborative, productive spaces for student participation that are fit to respond to the issue at hand;
- Create toolkits, guidance, and other training materials to support the facilitation skills development across KCLSU and King’s;
- Develop and deliver training on facilitation skills for KCLSU and King’s colleagues.
SERVICE DEVELOPMENT:
- Work with Student Voice colleagues to expand the capacity and reach of the team across King’s;
- Support the development and delivery of an evaluation process for the facilitation of student voice within projects or service areas, ensuring monitoring requirements are met in order to demonstrate impact and track progress over time;
- Represent KCLSU’s Student Voice team and promote the Student Voice Design Framework to King’s colleagues and other relevant stakeholders;
- Create and deliver training, guidance, and on-going support for Student Officers and other student representatives on facilitation, student voice, and related areas, equipping students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to thrive in their role and feel empowered to grow as community leaders.
A successful candidate will have:
