We’re looking for an Enterprise Manager to join our London & South East regional team. You will cover waterways from the busy Regents Canal, Lee Navigation, parts of the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal. Our miles of canal provide active travel corridors, opportunities for our communities to improve their wellbeing and blue-green wildlife habitats.
As Enterprise Manager, you will secure external funding through partnerships and bid writing, and support delivery of projects which ‘transform places and enrich lives’. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop potential projects in line with our strategic priorities and be responsible for securing funding to make them happen. You will support our Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle from inception to closure in line with the Trust’s financial reporting process, acting as first point of contact for external funders throughout. You will also act as point of contact and support project development for third parties carrying out active travel and public realm improvements on our land.
At any given time, you will hold a portfolio of varied projects, from towpath and access improvements, as well as habitat improvements, community engagement and heritage conservation.
Location
The role will be based working from home, with the allocation of a nearby Hub for collaborative working in Little Venice. Travel required within the region for site visits, media calls, social media moments, events and meetings.
It is therefore essential that you are able to effectively work from home, whilst also having the flexibility to be mobile when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key responsibilities:
- To support activity and work in the region by securing funding for a range of strategic priorities.
- To represent and promote the work of the Trust to key external stakeholders, Government departments, regional agencies, lottery distributors, key statutory funders, trusts and foundations, charitable trusts and other regional and sub-regional partnerships.
- To develop and manage relationships with statutory, charitable, and key partners.
- Lead or contribute to partnerships that generate resources that further to the region’s delivery of waterway maintenance and health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects and the funding risks of externally funded projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- To be responsible for output, outcome and impact monitoring and reporting.
- To keep abreast of the funding environment to enable rapid reaction to emerging opportunities.
- Display the Trust values and behaviours at all times.
- Ensure that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promote inclusion by challenging behaviour, practices, actions, or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trust’s policies and values.
About you:
This role is based with our London & Southeast team, and we are looking for someone with particular experience and developed networks across this region.Our successful Enterprise Manager may previously have worked in roles such as Partnerships Manager, Development Manager, Fundraising Manager, Partnerships & Fundraising Manager, and will ideally have good knowledge and confidence in identifying and successfully bidding for project funding via government departments, regional agencies, statutory funders, and charitable trusts. Prior experience of statutory funded active travel schemes is desirable.
Technical:
- A proven track record of developing and writing successful funding bids.
- Knowledge of funding environments, including lottery distributors, key statutory funders, trusts and foundations, charitable trusts.
- Experience of strategic relationship, partnership development and management.
- Innovation and creativity, to develop projects from concept to delivery and to match trust priorities with funding.
- Budget and project management experience with the ability to manage financial risk.
- Experience of financial reporting
General:
- Ability to influence, persuade and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – strong presenter.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Valid driving licence as your work will require you to reach locations not easily reached by public transport. Access to a vehicle is essential.

The Role:
As the Trusts & Foundations Officer, you will take ownership of an exciting and diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations, and other grant-giving organisations. Key Responsibilities
As the Trusts & Foundations Officer you will assist in identifying new funding opportunities to expand the existing funder base, work closely with all departments to develop tailored proposals and implement the organisation's fundraising strategy. You will maintain a rolling programme of bespoke grant applications while building and stewarding long-term relationships with funders. The role includes supporting the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising with donor communications, trust and statutory fundraising applications, submitting timely reports, and maintaining accurate records.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant fundraising role, and a good understanding of the voluntary sector funding environment. They should be skilled in researching and developing new funding pipelines, managing multiple contacts, and have excellent writing, proof-reading, and organisational abilities. Financial literacy and budget management are essential, alongside IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems like ThankQ. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supporting the area Field Organiser, in their work with groups of local people in and around small towns across the county in which they are based, this role will both organise and mobilise members of the public to take actions supportive of overseas aid and international development, including the climate crisis. As part of a team, you will help build an active local community presence to support the Campaigns aims in key locations across England. Mencap are recruiting for a Learning Disability Caseworker (LDC) to give advice on welfare benefits, housing, health, and community care, to people with a learning disability, their families, carers, and professionals working with them. Some of this advice will be live caseload, and some will be in preventative advice packs that you have created, these will then be added to the Mencap website and distributed by you through community networks.
The Learning Disability Caseworker role can be based where you want to work from, with occasional travel to casework venues and our Peterborough office. This role will be full time (37.5 hours) on a fixed term contract until September 2027.

About the Role
The Assistant Management Accountant will work closely and support the Finance team to enhance projects and management accounting at Solace. You will give support to the Interim Financial Controller to produce accurate and timely internal and external financial reports.
In this role, you do the preparation of monthly income and expenditure management reports for allocated projects (including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets depreciations, apportions and reconciliation) and of allocated funder reports. · Educated to degree level or equivalent career experience.
