Key Responsibilities – the role will include but not be restricted to:
- Providing support to the Senior Finance & Operations Manager
Finance
- Working with the Senior Finance & Operations Manager to support the finance, banking and invoicing processes. Preparing and running the BACS payments as required ready for authorisation, adding new suppliers when required. Ensuring the daily membership finance operations are completed in a timely manner.
- Setting up and processing all direct debits and reconcile with monthly reports from the Direct Debit supplier.
- Analysing bank statements for legacy income, donations, standing orders and all other credits and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Regularly banking cash and cheques and reconciling with the CRM. Complete bank reconciliation at month end.
- Processing Credit/Debit Card payments and enter data onto the CRM.
- Running a full report of all donations/Legacies and Grants and save on the CRM.
- Preparing and submitting quarterly Gift Aid claims.
- Legacy administration including corresponding with Solicitors and keeping records as required by the Senior Finance & Operations Manager.
Operations
- Supporting the Executive Management Team with the office move to Old Street in April 2025.
- Managing the Charity’s CRM and developing new operational processes when necessary. Informing staff if they are required to enter data differently and implementing training for relevant staff to integrate changes into the organisation’s operational procedures.

The Role
To support the organisation’s participation in 2 research projects exploring Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities understanding of mental well-being and suicide with a view to improving access for support in these areas for the GRT community. The role will be centred on fieldwork with the GRT community in County Durham and to support the Research Team and the organisation’s Research and Development Co-ordinator in all aspects of the research projects.
- To develop and deliver community-based research activities with the support of the Research and Development Co-ordinator alongside their Housing Support Team on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities in County Durham on themes around mental health including suicide.
- Develop, facilitate and present research outputs from the project and share with project stakeholders and in Humankind to demonstrate the evidence base about this work and the need for further development of services. This could include writing a blog, delivering presentations or participating in webinars.
- Analyse and synthesise both qualitative and quantitative data generated by research and evaluation projects to support colleagues in service modelling and design.

About the Role:
The Water Security Lead is responsible for delivering WaterAid’s water security programming by providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and innovative solutions. The role supports programme design, implementation, evaluation, and the development of standards and guidance, working with global teams to enhance knowledge sharing, technical delivery, and external engagement.
- The Water Security Lead is based in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the head of the team. The Water Security Lead is accountable for the strategic development and effective delivery of the core team responsibilities on water security programming in both urban and rural, low-income settings, incorporating WaterAid’s and the sector’s leading practices, innovations and methods.
- Applying a people-centred, systems strengthening approach to WASH, she/he leads the provision of high quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid’s water programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.

- The Water Security Lead has substantial autonomy in determining what the technical objectives are and how they are delivered and achieved. As our driven and passionate Philanthropy Manager you will have a proven track record of business development and raising income from new and exciting partnerships. Those that partnerships you secure, you will go on to provide excellent stewardship.
You’ll also:
- Build a sustainable pipeline of new business prospects with the potential to give at £100k+ per annum.
- Develop high quality funding propositions and reports in line with donor requirements.
- Support the Philanthropy & Events Manager with the delivery of first class stewardship and cultivation events.
- Develop and implement creative solicitation plans to maximise donor engagement and income, delivering against a £450k+ personal income target which is made up of existing and new business prospects
- Research, develop and write high quality funding proposals, appeal letters and reports, personalised to your donors. Secure grants for unrestricted funds and complex restricted funding projects tailored to donor requirements.
- Develop an excellent knowledge of WaterAid’s work, liaise with colleagues to prepare and present high-quality information such as tailored presentations and proposals for the donor. This includes working closely with country programme colleagues, the grant unit, Trustees and Directors as appropriate.
- Help develop cross-selling opportunities with other teams in WaterAid, to maximise major donor prospects and new relationships
- Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK and – where appropriate – overseas.
Requirements
- Have a proven ability to raise income from new business, manage a new philanthropy portfolio and achieve targets as part of a strategic plan.
- Be able to develop strong relationships with individuals, identifying opportunities for growth and innovative engagement.
- Have experience of compelling proposal and report writing for a philanthropic audience.
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience in peer to peer fundraising.
- Experience in developing and executing a new business prospecting strategy.

We are seeking maternity cover for our Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager role, starting from late March 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work with and develop our fantastic corporate partners who enable FoodCycle to support people faced with hunger and loneliness, and champion community dining across the country.
The Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager leads the management of corporate partnerships and associated income at FoodCycle, from £5,000 corporate funders up to flagship relationships up to £100,000, to meet our corporate income target of c. £1 million for 2025. The role sits within a Fundraising team of eight, and you will work collaboratively with colleagues across FoodCycle. You will forge engaging corporate partnerships which deliver financial support and wider benefits for FoodCycle, whilst meeting corporate partners’ engagement goals.
You will have experience of managing corporate partnerships of up to £100,000, and securing new business from corporates. You will require line management experience, as you will need to effectively manage our Corporate Partnerships Manager – New Business, and our Fundraising Officer. As this is a hybrid role, you will need to live within a commutable distance of Vauxhall, London.

About the Role:
As a Victim Help Caseworker you will be:
- You will be responsible for the implementation and co-ordination of peer support groups for victims of crime across North Wales.
- Peer support involves a facilitator led group being empowered to share their experiences with other victims who have experienced a similar crime.
- You will also lead on engagement with victims through 1-2-1 consultations to capture their views on matters relating to support and the Criminal Justice System, as well as increasing engagement on the North Wales Victims Panel run by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
