About us
Who we are
Volunteers enable St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth to provide end of life care to local people at home, at Derriford and at our specialist unit in Turnchapel. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and we simply could not deliver our care without them.
Could you be our next volunteer? If you can spare a few hours, then yes! It doesn’t matter your age, background or skills, we have a variety of roles working across a wide spectrum of charity functions. The gift of your time can make a massive difference to our patients and their families who are facing the reality of a terminal illness. In return it will give you something really fulfilling and rewarding.
Whether your reason for volunteering is to help you step up in your career, socialise with others or to organise a team away day, we can help to find the perfect spot for you to put your skills to much needed use.
We are creating a “Hospice without Walls”, delivering more care outside the traditional hospice setting to enable us to care for more people at home and volunteers will play an important role in achieving this goal. From our specialist unit in Turnchapel, to our retail warehouse in Plympton; to assisting at fundraising events across Devon and Cornwall; there are so many roles in various locations you can be a part of.
