We are seeking an experienced Fundraising and Events Officer. In this role you will be responsible for driving, creating and implementing our short and long-term fundraising and events strategy. The role will involve a close working relationship with our Operations Officer and our Board of Trustees. About the Role:As the Head of Communications, you will lead the development of an ambitious communications strategy. The purpose of this role is to build a high-performing communications team to drive significantly increased communications performance across various streams. The Head of will champion Communication across the organisation, ensuring alignment with MAP's mission and values. They will actively contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team, fostering collaboration and strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities 

Leadership

• Lead the organisation’s communications planning to ensure alignment and maximise impact on influencing and income objectives. Monitor and manage communications-related risk for MAP.
• Collaborate with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, Strategic Communications and Media Manager, and Digital Communications Manager to ensure that the necessary communications processes and systems are established.
• Line manage a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about MAP’s vision and mission, and has in place necessary systems, processes, ways of working and motivating direction to drive impact in our communications and delivery against KPIs.
• Ensure MAP’s communications are ethical and aligned with the organisation’s values. Ensure the perspectives and voices of Palestinians and affected communities are at the forefront and their feedback on our communications heard and acted on
• Collaborate and engage with  cross-organisational projects, taking the lead as required, and ensure consistent and coherent brand and voice across MAP’s varied communications outputs.
• Provide line management to direct reports, setting individual performance objectives, ensuring delivery, and motivating the team to be innovative, creative, strategic and professional in its thinking and delivery.

Communications Strategy

• Develop and lead  an ambitious and impactful cross-organisational communications strategy – including earned media, digital and PR.
• Collaborate with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, set and monitor progress against Key Performance Indicators for achieving the strategy, and  report quarterly on results to global stakeholders.
• Plan and identify key moments of opportunity for MAP’s communications according to internal and external landscapes and timetables.
• Develop a crisis communications strategy and ensure that MAP has the resources and capacities needed to manage external and internal crises.
•  Work with fundraising colleagues to develop a new focus on marketing and brand development and coordinate impactful cross-team campaigns

Review and delivery

•  Provide senior review to communications outputs for MAP in line with an agreed sign-off policy, and  MAP’s messaging and ethical communications principles.
•  Act as a spokesperson for the organisation in the media as appropriate, and ensure that all MAP spokespersons are properly briefed, managed and supported
• ·Identify communication risks and develop strategies to protect MAP's reputation, staff, programs, and the people it serves in the media.
• Oversee key messaging for proactive and reactive communications to support advocacy and fundraising, ensuring coherence across media and digital channels during emergencies.
• Oversee the development of creative cut-through tactics and products across traditional and digital media and PR, from revealing MAP research and analysis to emergency media briefings.
•  Oversee the development of communications guidelines and processes to ensure the alignment of communications outputs with MAP’s values and the active participation of Palestinians and affected communities in our communications strategy and output
•  Report to MAP’s SMT and Board on press activity, trends and upcoming opportunities.

Job Requirements

The role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the delivery of River Holme Connections’ (RHC) strategy and operations. They will be responsible for all the operational activities and financial management. They will work closely with the Chair and Trustees to ensure the smooth and efficient management of RHC, to lead an innovative, respected and financially sustainable organisation. Responsibilities 

Leadership of MAP’s UK and international advocacy and campaigning

• Lead MAP’s advocacy and campaigns, ensuring professional and impactful political influencing with key targets including Government, Civil Service, Parliament, and international institutions.

• Develop and oversee a targeted international advocacy strategy, identifying opportunities and tactics to influence policies and actions of the US, European countries, and UN forums, supporting MAP’s advocacy priorities.

• Oversee the development of creative and impactful campaigns to engage the UK and international public, civil society partners and influencers with MAP’s advocacy priorities – and work with the fundraising team to integrate advocacy and fundraising campaigns.

• Develop power mapping of key policymakers, thought influencers and relevant institutions, and develop stakeholder engagement plans in line with strategic objectives.

• Set quantifiable and timely targets to deliver on this strategy and implement through effective project management.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.

We are expanding our services and are recruiting for Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Support Workers across the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Barking & Dagenham.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. We're looking for a Head of Safeguarding, Safety and Wellbeing to lead the delivery of an excellent guiding experience across the UK. This person will lead our work to ensure that Girlguiding operates safely at all levels, working in partnership and collaboration with volunteers and staff to ensure that girls and members are safe.

A vital member of the Membership Services directorate and the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent knowledge of safeguarding activity health and safety, complaints and wellbeing, that are delivered across the UK to over 300,000 girls. 

You'll be an effective collaborator and influencer, familiar with working across a large devolved network. You'll have a successful track record of developing and implementing safeguarding and activity health & safety strategy, policies and procedures, working in partnership with volunteers.  You'll have strong motivational leadership and be confident driving change, in this fast-paced, varied and rewarding role, that is making an impact to girls skills and confidence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social and digital media professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare. 

The Social and Digital Media Officer plans, creates and publishes the charity’s social media and digital communications, ensuring accurate content and the right brand look, feel and messaging.  Working to the Head of Communications and with the wider team, you will organise and proactively seek out stories and other content from across the charity to engage audiences through our digital media channels, including social platforms, the website and email. A key part of this role is testing and refining approaches to increase reach, engagement, website traffic and donations and to rigorously monitor and evaluate results to inform further activity. 

We are looking for someone who has experience in the management of social media channels, a passion for social and digital media with a creative approach to engaging online audiences.  You will possess first-rate written and oral communications skills, digital content creation including images and video, excellent attention to detail and the ability to write quality copy in a variety of styles quickly.  You must be proactive, confident and capable of working with people at all levels in a variety of spheres. You must have a flexible approach to your work and be willing to work outside of normal office hours where necessary.  Equine knowledge and experience is highly desirable.

The role is based in Norfolk and is a hybrid split of 2 days in our head office in Snetterton and 3 days at home.  You may be required to attend events around the UK.

The role:

We believe Street Child has a huge opportunity to achieve even more growth in the Corporate Partnerships sector by diversifying our coverage and relationships into new industries and growth markets. The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:

1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Responsibility for building Street Child’s network of corporate relationships and growing pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities.

2. Partnership and proposition development: Working closely with our colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships and Global Programme Funding teams to develop engaging and impactful partnership plans and project propositions, focusing on priority countries and programmes to support Street Child’s strategy and mission.

3. Corporate engagement with events: Utilising the portfolio of events Street Child has across the year to engage and steward corporate relationships, including Street Child owned events and external events including the World Economic Forum and UN General Assembly.

4. Supporting on cross-organisational fundraising activations: Leading on new corporate engagement activities, including new fundraising and sponsorship activations, to support cross-organisational initiatives including our Spring Gala, annual Back to School Campaign and other key milestones throughout the year.

Key activities in this role:

• Development of New Business engagement plans – identifying, researching, engaging and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships;
• Implementing ambitious New Business campaigns to target priority industries, including the oversight of prospecting and marketing mapping activity;
• Management of new business pipeline and prospect lists, including use and maintenance of corporate prospects data on CRM;
• Close collaboration with Partnership Development and Account Management teams to promote best practice corporate donor stewardship and partnership delivery;
• Active networking and attending various international events to maximise New Business opportunities;
• Consistent, proactive New Business activity via Street Child networks and cold approaches;
• Searching for suitable open corporate partnership opportunities/calls to apply to and working with colleagues to submit high quality applications;

• Working with colleagues to develop our corporate propositions – both fundraising products and exciting, innovative new project proposals alongside our Programme Funding teams.

1. Proven superb, corporate fundraising track-records, ideally in the international development/humanitarian sector (or otherwise demonstrating strong development/humanitarian knowledge and clear passion for the sector); &/or

2. A compelling, commercial background - coupled with a super clear desire to use your skills and experience in the humanitarian/development space, and the ability to rapidly build relevant technical skills and knowledge.

A prior background in international development/humanitarian is preferred but is not essential. A strong commitment to Street Child's cause is essential.

The role is envisaged as UK-based but is global in scope. A willingness to travel is expected. The ideal candidate would work full-time; and physically in our City of London office for a minimum 3 days of the week – with some flexibility considered for outstanding candidates.
